About this house rental
The Shady Rest is a cute, cozy and comfortable garden cabin secluded from the rush of life. Located down Texanna in Sandy Bass Bay 3 (Jane's Jungle), this house is a close walk or golf cart ride to Lake Eufaula, Oklahoma beaches. We are within a mile of two launch ramps, and not far from Belle Starr Marina or Porum Marina and launch ramps. The other side of hwy 69 is Lake Eufaula State Park with many types of recreation including horseback riding and golf. Guests with kids enjoy Jelly Stone Park located at the town of Eufaula by the marina. This is a guest house that has its own patio and is located next to The Big Sandy Lodge that is our home.
There is a large grassy tree lined front yard with plenty of parking for guests and toys. The Shady Rest downstairs has dining area, kitchen, full bathroom with combination bathtub and shower. The living room has a double French door to the patio. Sofa day-beds are two twin beds one with storage and one a twin trundle bed. Upstairs has area with a twin bunk bed and closet on one side and a queen bed on the other.
The French doors open onto a pet friendly patio. Just through the next gate and up the steps behind our home is the deck with conversation seating, hot tub and pool that is open for the summer available only to Shady Rest guests. Please follow the pool and safety requirements and enjoy. Just a short walk to the lake for fishing or boating. There is boat parking with electricity, a fish cleaning station and minnow barrel for those here for pleasure fishing or tournaments. Contact us when you make your reservation if you need information about boat launching, fishing, docking and boat parking.
The location 421464 Big Sandy Drive (1165 Rd), Eufaula OK 74432. When you enter the address on your phone, select the "Big Sandy Lodge and Shady Rest" popup. Exit the 69 fwy going south on Texanna. Drive 5.1 miles to turn right onto 422 (0). If you see a sign for Lindsey Chapel or Sandpiper Cove, you have gone too far down Texanna.
Travel past Push Hill to a right-hand curve onto 1170. Continue to the next intersection and turn right towards Sandy Bass Bay 3. The 3rd road turn right onto 1165 Rd, aka Big Sandy Drive. Please continue down 1165 to the last house on the right.

We were very comfortable at the cottage! My girls said the couch/beds down stairs were comfy - and the bunk beds and queen bed were as well. Nice hot shower! Kitchen is small but adequate - added bonus of fresh eggs gifted by the hosts!! Hot tub was also great - sadly too cold to swim - but pool looked great!

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful cabin in Oklahoma! The location was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The cabin was exceptionally clean and well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would definitely love to come back again. Highly recommend!

Kerry was very friendly and accommodating it was raining the night we stayed so didn’t get to swim but did get to enjoy the hot tub! The cabin was nice quiet and cozy just want we needed to spend some quality time with our kids.

Not going into details. I loved the trails and found a great breakfast place. However, the hot tub...which thr majorly of people would like to be private was on the owners back deck. It didnt seem very clean. My son and i sat in the hot tub while the owners large back window was ioen and could see them through it. They had shower curtains hangin around but it would have been even weirder to be enclosed in a hot tub. The kitchen was dirty, floors all.dirty. the fridge had gair and dirt in it. I took lots of photos but not sure i can post here but will elsewhere. I thought this would be a private place but as soon as i started down a long driveway, i saw a man, the owner glaring at me as I drove all the way to the cabin and then stood there watching me get out of my car. I didnt appreciate it and when i voiced my opinion, about all of this i was met with one of them telling me "i wish you weren't here" i was really tired and wanted a nice private vavation. It didnt happen.
