Villa Marion

The house is large and very clean. The pool is nice. From the terrace and pool, the view is on trees with mountains in the distance. So, the garden is quite isolated from neighbor view. The host Bjorn was not present when we arrived, but he sent the code of the house well before our arrival. He was also supportive when there was an issue with the pool that was quickly fixed. The equipment of the villa is very good. We had a very pleasant stay.

Spacious villa, great size rooms & lovely swimming pool.

On our first evening my husband was cooking our bbq for tea. I noticed 3 very big ants nests, 100's of them in our bedroom and the living room. I started spraying ant killer and we hoovered them up immediately. Contacted the host and key greeter came straight out to assist us. He was very helpful but not a great start to our holiday and bbq food wasted. My husband wanted to vacate the property as wasn't happy with how big the nests were and no longer felt comfortable . If it was a hotel we would have asked to change rooms. I persuaded him to stay as 1500e had been paid. The owner was very good but we were disappointed that he didn't offer us a good will gesture. We paid a lot of money, very disappointing, and inconvenient start to our holiday through no fault of our own. Which wasn't very relaxing. We have just read your response. We did not use the patio door and never would have it was only opened due to the ants nest coming through the external wall. The greeter would confirm this as he was aware why this had to be done. We do not appreciate you comment stating: "Though you left the house with a totally damaged sliding door" We look after properties and respect them like we do our own home, we do not leave them damaged. Maybe you should confirm this with your greeter as we do not appreciate you stated this about ourselves. As for the deposit I am disgusted that you state like you did us a favor by giving us our deposit back in full. The 3 ants nest was not caused by ourselves and the only reason the patio door was opened quickly was solely due to the ants nest rapidly coming through the top of it and to kill them to stop them spreading more. Like I said 100's of them, even covering the windows! The whole holiday we were unable to use the master bedroom lovely patio with a fear of another ants nest being out there too.
