Dabo House

We had an amazing experience at Dabo house... It was just the perfect stay for my family. The rooms are large, the beds are huge and comfortable, the place is spotless, they have all the facilities you can ask for - air con, fans, mosquito nets, bins, plenty of bedding/towels... The Breakfast was included and delicious - pancakes, eggs, bread, local jams, fresh fruit, local fruit juices. With such a hearty breakfast, we skipped lunch sometimes! Salif, the caretaker is the loveliest person you can meet - he will go out of his way to do anything to make your visit comfortable.... and he is an excellent cook if you want dinner at a low cost. The beach is about a 15 minute walk and if you go just after noon, you might catch a fisherman returning with his catch - twice we bought fresh fish and had it cooked - delicious! The sandy beach is clean - we walked one way all the way to Ghanatown and the other way to Bijilo beach. Next door to the house is a bakery making fresh bread - try it! Walking distance to the shops too. The swimming pool was clean and refreshing. I cannot fault the place in any way!

Clean room in a lovely African style compound. Attentive staff and friendly owners. Pool was kept clean. Breakfast was good too. Quiet neighbourhood. 15 minute walk to the beach Home away from home.

There was no mosquito nets on the windows so to cool down you have to use the aircon which was very loud. The bathroom/ shower room is very small so it all gets wet, but not a problem for us.

You could do more in the rooms such as fridges ,TV and better generator that will make it more relaxing if a guest want to stay in on a lazy day .
