Les petites attentions tel que du café avec la cafetière y compris du the même si pas utilisé mais il etait la, la climatisation deja allumé, du produit gel douche et shampoing même si pas utilisé mais disponible et de la lessive. Bref ce genre d'attention est très plaisante. Il s'agit en plus d'un appartement très propre avec sa petite touche de maison a l'ancienne avec une salle de bain propre et moderne. La terrasse est vraiment très appréciable le soir pour se détendre et apprecier les paysages de vignes et oliviers. Tout ce que j'aime !

Le seul point négatif est vraiment le fait que la voiture reste loin, avec 2 enfants en bas âge donc beaucoup de lourd bagage d'équipement cetait une corvée de décharger et charger la voiture. Mais on oublie assez vite cet inconfort.

The WiFi connection was not working and the issue could not be solved. This was a major problem to us.

The location is great. It is an old house in a small village in the Douro valley surrounded by olive trees. Host is very nice as is the lady that met us at check-in and check out (although she can't speak English). It is probably a great place to stay during the summer. There is a nice balcony on the rooftop. Parking is near the local church, about 100 meters from the house. Some nuts, almonds and chestnuts were provided.

The house has two stories, at the ground floor there is a living room / dinning area with kitchenette and a bathroom. At the first floor there is a sitting area and two bedrooms. We arrived on a very cold day. There are limited means to warm the house: in the ground floor - a small barrel-shaped fireplace, in the first floor - air condition and an electric heater. For some reason (maybe it was too cold) the a/c didn't work at all. We heated the ground floor using the fireplace, but it had limited effect even in the ground floor and no effect in the first floor. During the night we had no heating sources at all as the fireplace ran out of coal and we didn't want to leave the electric heater unattended. It was extremely cold and unpleasant experience. Even if the a/c did work - the bedrooms don't have means for heating them and the bathroom is downstairs. It was so cold we couldn't take a shower. It may be a great place when it is not so cold, but try to stay away during the cold winter. To be honest- the host contacted me and offered a gift as a compensation.
