About this house rental
Beach Lodge is a semi-detached house, one of a small number of properties which is lucky enough to be on level walking distance to Harlyn beach.
Beach Lodge is just et back from the hump back bridge - it really is just yards away from the beach. It's a perfect base for family holidays, nipping back and to the beach, walkers and couples looking to get away and relax. There are some amazing costal walks either towards Trevose Head or towards Trevone which leads to Padstow. Trevose Golf and Country Club is a mile away, with its champion course, tennis court’s and a fabulous heated outdoor pool in the summer. The newly open Harlyn Inn and cafe is just a stroll away, the Pig restaurant is just up the Hill, Big pan and Beach box are also just over at the beach. The bus stop at Harlyn is just by the bridge with a regular service to Padstow and Newquay.
Beach Lodge offer's 3 bedrooms;
Bedroom 1, is located on the ground floor with a king sized bed and en-suite shower room,
Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds.
Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds.
There is also a sofa in the snug..
The kitchen is well equipped for your stay.
The family bathroom is upstairs with bath sink and low level shower over the bath.
There is a stair gate fitted, a travel cot and bumbo for guest to use at the property. It's a comfortable home and we have many repeat bookings.
Outside the garden is a lovely sheltered area, the decking out the front is beautiful on a sunny morning to enjoy breakfast or a late lunch on. The garden is secure and being gated making it safe space for children and dog’s. Please note there is parking for 1 car only a 2nd space can be rented from the neighbours. There is an outside tap with a hose attached in the car space for guests to use as they wish - just please turn the water of at the tap after.
Dogs are very welcome and there is no additional charge for them, we kindly do ask you to clean up after your dog. Harlyn beach is one of the few beaches in the area which dogs are allowed on all year.
On Harlyn there is Beach Box for a warm drink, or afternoon drink in the summer, Harlyn Surf School, is located on the beach in the main season. Where you can hire paddle boards, kayaks and surf boards. They also offer lessons and tours.

Great location as just a short walk on the flat to the beautiful Harlyn Bay Beach and coast path. House is clean, comfortable and as described in the details. Very responsive host who is helpful. We had a really good time and would definitely recommend The Beach Lodge.

Brought our 2 dogs with us , nice enclosed garden , but they didn t like the stones in their paws. Opposite the beach, . Overall clean and comfortable with just a few minor issues

Such a lovely house, and so close to the beach. Signal is terrible in Cornwall so was great to have WiFi access. Can't fault the property at all. We had a great holiday, even though the weather wasn't great for most of the week.

What the property has going for it most is the closeness to the beautiful beach at Harlyn Bay, it couldn't have been easier to get to, even with an elderly dog in tow. There are some elements within the property that could be improved. There is no guide to the property/manual so we did not know where to locate the hoover, how the external bin system worked (i.e that ALL general rubbish must be in black bin liners, that were not provided until requested). There was no dustpan and brush in the property or floor brush which meant cleaning up sand, dog hair was challenging. Once these had also been requested they were provided forthwith. Neither of the external doors locked easily, the main front door being the hardest to lift the handle to enable the lock to be turned. When we got there the TV didn't work, however after three visits to the property the owner remedied that for us. Also you can only watch programs above a 12 rating after 9pm as the TV is locked down with a PIN before then. The downstairs shower has an extremely small opening to it's sliding door, so small I was unable to use it (I am a larger lady but I manage to use my own cubicle shower just fine), instead I used the upstairs bath which was lovely and deep. The outside tap for washing off sandy feet and dogs was a great asset, although again we had to ask to borrow a hose for the tap. We just felt like we had to bother the owner more than we would have liked to and felt like we were being a pain.
