Shady Bend has 2 cabins sleeping 4 to 8 comfortably, 3 queen beds and 1 trundle bed with 2 twin mattresses. It is located in a beautifully wooded secluded area, with a circle drive. Wildlife abounds on and around this property. It is a destination within itself with plenty to do. Play horse shoes, corn hole, a game of pool, watch tv or movies, or board games. The cook shack has a gas grill and charcoal grill byo charcoal. Enjoy the pavilion with plenty of seating, and a screened in porch. Ride your ATVs from property 1 mile to the south Wolf Pen Gap trail head. While visiting the area you may want to check out the local area by visiting Little Missouri Falls, Bard Springs, Shady Lake, and Albert Pike. Visit the newly remodeled Queen Wilhelmina State Park. This was my 2nd time staying at the property. I have nothing but great things to say about the cabins. The pavilion area is perfect for groups to gather and eat together. The large driveway makes it super easy for those pulling trailers with ATV's to navigate.

2 families staying here along with kids. The cabins are decorated and very clean and nice! The covered area was great for Sharing stories and settling down after a long day of riding. The bbq area was great as well. The whole cabin area was absolutely fantastic and Lisa was awesome as well! Will definitely be back!

2nd time staying here. We rented both of the cabins again this time. Loved it both times. Having the Pavillion area, great place to hang and eat with the group plenty of room. The ONLY negative thing I could say is that the waterpressure is not that great, other than that top notch cabins. Great location for the trails. Can't wait for the next stay!

This place was super clean, the property manager is easy to communicate with, just a short ride from the trail head on wpg. We had a great time cooking outside, sitting around a fire and hanging out under the big covered area between the cabins. When we ride wpg again we will definitely stay here again!!!

Driving up to the property, I was absolutely taken aback by how roomy and spacey everything was! Super clean and plenty of towels, eating utensils, plates, etc! The owner is very nice and helpful, giving us directions to nearby places she thought we might enjoy and letting us know we could contact her in the chance that any problems arose during our stay. I definitely recommend this property to anybody looking for a relaxing and problem-free trip!

We rented both cabins and really enjoyed our stay. The owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Very close and easy access to the trails. I can't say anything negative about the place, but would recommend getting both as the one with the pool table really does not have any way to cook inside in inclement weather.

This place is perfect for any and every one!! Both cabins were super clean, nicely decorated and had EVERYTHING we needed for a wonderful stay. We very much enjoyed cooking out in the grill house, hanging out in the pavilion and roasting marshmallows at the fire pit area. You can even ride your ATV to several of the trailheads from the cabins. Perfect combination of privacy and convenience to the trails, well known destinations in the area and town. The Fowlers had truly thought of anything someone might need to make their stay more comfortable and enjoyable. This was our first time in the area to off road and we will definitely be back to stay at Shady Bend!

Beautiful property that is conveniently located near the Wolf Pen Gap trailhead. All amenities you could ever want to grill, play games or simply sit around a camp fire and hang out after a full day of riding the trails or hiking. Would definitely come back to this location again. Lisa is a wonderful hostess and will do whatever she can to make your stay enjoyable!

This is the ONE!

First of all, the entire property is extremely well kept and is the perfect spot for a scenic mountain getaway. Both the cabin and bunkhouse more than accommodated my group of 7. From the extremely comfortable beds to the large walk-in shower in the bunkhouse - nobody was roughing it. Not to mention the cleanliness of the whole site was impeccable. Everything you can think of was provided for - down to the Keurig pods for your morning coffee and fire starter for the evening campfire. I sincerely appreciated all of the personal touches the Fowler family provided for our stay. Lisa is so great to work with! Cannot thank her enough for the maps and directions she provided to the local hiking and ATV trails. No joke, everything was on the same road and there are endless trails with the most beautiful scenery. Thank you for everything, Fowler family! I can't wait to plan my trip back.

The best cabins around!

We stayed in the cabins the weekend of October 5-7th! The cabin and bunk house was extremely clean and the decorations were amazing! There were 8 of us and we had plenty room and it had everything you could ever need. We brought our side by sides and we were just minutes away from the riding trails. We really enjoyed sitting by the fire pit at night and the guys enjoyed the horse shoes! We will be making a trip back soon! Thank you so much Mr. & Mrs. Fowler for letting us rent your beautiful cabin and bunk house! We will definitely be back!!
