Cardiff by the Sea Luxury, Oceanviews, Walkable

Loved the property, the location, and the design. Beds are comfortable, everything worked. House maintained. Cute yard, bbq area fine. All good, until the details. The owner needs to think of a few things. First the kithen is outfitted with most of what you need, some things missing, but some things like pots and pans are 10 year old non stick that are beat to past their life years ago and there are not matching anything, very random items like they moved and left their non favorite hodgepodge items behind. Eating in the back yard for 8 people is kind of a given, I am not sure why it wasn't thought of. The cupboards are also a mess making it hard to find anything. I mean mess, not a little mess. The closet in the master is an owners closet, and the dresser is filled with extra linens for the entire house so there is no room to store anything. The owner seems to think amazon solves anything so when I complained of that, owner sent a fabric ready to assemble closet system with no pole. And it would have taken me an hour or longer to assemble. I found that a tiny bit offensive. You rent a luxury home, you don't ask geusts to assemble things nor do you leave them zero closet space in the master bedroom suite. The cleaning crew did pretty good, they missed a lot of details like hair in drawers but not terrible. The bbq looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a really long time. They advertise a roof top observation deck, there is nothing to sit up but old beat up furniture, so if you like to push beat up furniture out of the way so you can stand and see the ocean, that it can work for. Overall it was an exercise in opposites. ON the one hand super amazing on design, location, and most amenities are great so they house itself really delivered. On the other hand there was not a lot of thought put into guests use of the home, and for that I am not very happy. IF they fixed the details in the kitchen, master, back yard, roof deck, it might cost 6k, but every guest from then on, would be 5 star. So stay with them, but I would request proof these things are handled.

We absolutely loved this house. Superbly clean and updated. Kid friendly, and super convenient 8 min walk to beach and shops. Would recommend for families or groups of adults.
