Beautiful spacious rooms that are very clean and comfortable. Walking distance to many restaurants. Staff deliver a muffin and smoothie to your room for breakfast- coffee is available in their hotel lobby!

Location was good

Very badly service and room was a smell cannot stay under the room look like a student living apartment in the college and carpet was dirty. I can’t believe it. I paid the 440. It’s not expensive and it’s not a cheap like a a box 6 hotel it’s really really really bad please do not come back

Great beach location; not as touristy as Carlsbad.

Jenny at the Lobby was great; very friendly and helpful; I like the parking down below and secure, worth the $20 per night. The location is great if you like to surf or be close to the ocean. Walking distance to Pacific Coast Grill (recommended). The free use of beach equipment was nice. Also free polaroid.

The balcony could be better. The chair were mostly for single seating. there was one couch that looked really uncomfortable. more love seats; more privacy for different groups. balcony closed at 10pm, kind of early.

Perfect location, rooms are very spacious and nice, very cozy romantic rooftop. Had oysters at 101 walking distance, great coffee right across the street, can walk to the beach to surf. Complimentary prosecco and fresh juices.

I reserved a room featuring an ocean view; however, I was assigned a room that primarily overlooked an unattractive building rooftop, with only a partial view of the ocean. Given the price I paid for this accommodation, I found it to be unsatisfactory. I was unable to access the rooftop for the majority of my stay due to a private party occupying the space, which was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel.

Location is good. Next to a bar, but it wasn't too loud. The rooftop decks were nice.

I check online a couple of days before I traveled and found that if I cancelled and rebooked, I could save over $270 dollars because the prices had gone down. Also, as I was checking in, I heard another couple securing the same type of room for almost $100 less than what I had paid. I understand dynamic pricing, but I would recommend checking and re-checking the price you are paying. Also, the room had no glasses or cups. Upon inquiry at the lobby, I was told that they only had disposable glasses. This is not eco-friendly and I did not enjoy drinking out of plastic. They can do better since they are positioning themselves as an upscale stay.

Satisfied with our stay and would definitely recommend it!

We had an incredible stay at this hotel for two nights. Our room was beautiful, with a very comfy bed, and absolutely quiet despite not having an ocean view. We noticed that rooms facing the ocean might experience some noise from a nearby bar, but our room was perfectly serene.

Be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs since there's no elevator, and parking can be tricky to find initially. However, the front desk is very helpful with instructions, though keep in mind they operate from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The location is close to the beach, walking trail, shops and restaurants. Everything walkable. The property is beautiful, love the decor and the rooftop area is a nice plus. Excellent coffee shop across the street, Rose Hill. Also love the fresh muffins and juices that are delivered to your room every morning. The staff is very nice and accommodating.

Next door to a bar which sometimes can be noisy but also enjoy that people are having fun there. Thought the bathroom floor needed a steam clean.

Fantastic stay with with excellent rooms and impeccable services

This a wonderful Hotel; a real gem! I was mesmerized by the special and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are beautifully decorated and meticulously clean. The beds are extremely comfortable - one of the best beds I have had in a Hotel. The staff is exceptional - accommodating, helpful, professional and so friendly! The breakfast is small but good - a tasty fresh juice, coffee and muffins. There is a sundeck at the top of the Hotel with a fantastic view; a great place to hang out and enjoy the sunset. The location is perfect - it is just some steps away from a nice beach and from good seafood restaurants. The Hotel offers towels, beach-chairs and umbrellas for free - an excellent service so that we could enjoy two days at the beach. I highly recommend staying at the Cardiff by the Sea Lodge!

There was just one minor issue: the fridge was pretty loud and kicked-off every other minute during night. I told this the staff the next morning and the problem was quickly resolved. Other than this, everything was perfect!

The breakfast is typical , yogurt , apples. cellophane wrapped pastries, we didn't bother as we had to leave early, but the coffee is decent.
