Villa Mariza Corfu

A quiet relaxing retreat in a slow paced village. Nothing better after a beach day to come back and have dip in the pool then relax in the garden of this fully equipped house. The host Kat is quick to respond and will check with you if you require and tips or needs. The beds a very comfortable with a fully fitted kitchen.

There was nothing not to like.

Trevligt mottagande av värdarna. Mycket rymlig och fin trädgård/uteplats. Den är fint planerad med pool, buskar och ett olivträd som ger skugga. När vi var där var det mycket varmt så AC-systemen som finns i alla utrymmen kom till användning när det behövdes. Boendet befinner sig i en mysig by uppe i bergen. Trånga gränder, men det går bra att ta sig fram med bil. Närmsta strand är på västkusten ca 15 minuter med bil. Boendet befinner sig på en bra plats för utflykter i alla väderstreck. Bekväm parkeringslösning för bilen väldigt nära boendet. Boendet har annars allt man kan önska sig i faciliteter. Man får se upp lite när man går upp till övervåningen i en ganska trång trappa med en tak-kant att se upp med. Den är dock vadderad, vilket jag hade nytta av :-).

Det är svårt att gå i området, och överhuvudtaget på Korfu då det inte finns trottoarer. En bit att åka till livsmedelshandel, ca 10minuter till närmsta, vilket dock går bra ändå när man har bil som ändå är nödvändigt för att bo här.

We stayed at Villa Mariza Corfu for a short two-night trip while attending a scientific conference in Corfu, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The location was ideal for us. It was close enough to Corfu Town for our daily commitments, while also being within easy reach of several beautiful beaches, allowing us to enjoy a swim and relax after work. What impressed us most was the tranquility and authenticity of Kamara village. After a long day of meetings and presentations, returning to the villa felt like escaping to a private retreat. The brand-new pool, the beautiful garden, the olive trees, and the panoramic countryside views all combined to create a wonderfully relaxing environment. The villa itself was spotless, exceptionally well equipped, and had everything we needed. We particularly appreciated the comfortable indoor spaces and the perfect indoor temperature, even during the hot summer days, thanks to the excellent air conditioning throughout the house. As part of our work, we needed reliable internet for video calls and online meetings. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable throughout our stay. In fact, one afternoon I moved my laptop outside and worked under the shade of the large olive tree overlooking the garden—probably the most pleasant office I have ever had. Although our stay was short, Villa Mariza allowed us to combine work and relaxation perfectly. We left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Katerina is a wonderful host—friendly, responsive, and genuinely caring. We would happily stay here again on our next visit to Corfu. We are also looking forward to trying the fantastic BBQ area next time, as unfortunately we didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy it during this short stay.
