About this cottage rental
Lillviks Stugby is a spacious 3-bedroom cottage with a log burner and a living room with 2 sofa's and TV and DVD player plus Dining table and chairs for 6 and 2 Kayaks 30 metres away at the lakeside.
The cottage features a log fire and central heating, a TV, well-equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher and a dining area seating 6. There is also a private outdoor terrace with seating furniture and barbecue facilities. The cottage has 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 people - 1 double bedroom and 2 bedrooms with bunk beds with new mattresses August 2023. The bathroom features sink, toilet and shower and clothes dryer.
The house is fully sanitized between guests since Covid-19 began and this still continues.
The cottage looks out over lake Brocken. There is a small beach area and pontoon for swimming. The lake and above facilities are approximately 30 meters from the cottage. 2 Kayaks and lifejackets are available to use free of charge, additional kayaks, boats and bicycles are available to hire 5 minutes walk away subject to availability. Please ask for further information if you are interested in these.
The cottage is situated right by Lake Brocken, 7km from Hovfjallet Ski Centre, 18 km from Torsby town centre which has supermarkets, shops and restaurants, Cafe's, swimming pool, golf club and worlds longest indoor cross country ski tunnel. At the ski tunnel you will also find a Frisbee park, roller skating tracks, ice skating, orienteering and outdoor gym and cycling.
Popular summer activities include Hiking, bicycling, bathing and fishing in the lake.
Wintertime activities in the area include skiing at Hovfjället Ski Centre and Husky sledding.
Many activities can be arranged nearby such as Fishing and beaver safaris, mountain biking, guided hiking/walking/ Mushroom hunting trips and nature trails all close by. Kayaks, mountain bikes and SUP can be hired at "The Lodge" 5 minutes walk away. A "Put and Take" trout lake is 5 minutes drive away.
In winter you can ski and try husky sledding and snow mobiles at Hovfjället (7km) . Two more ski resorts are within easy reach (about 50 min's drive), Branäs (54km) and Sunne (60km) and offer more slopes and winter activities like snowmobile hire.
Torsby Golf Club is located 18 km from the property. Torsby Centre is 16km away and has a good range of shops restaurants and super markets. Karlstad city centre, with its shops, restaurants and attractions, is 118 km away.

It's a truly beautiful house with an incredibly great location. We were able to relax and enjoy the lake, the nature, and the peace and quiet. The house has everything you need and is well located on the lake. The nearest supermarket isn't far away either. Contact with the landlord was always quick and easy. We highly recommend it!

Stunning location with beautiful views. Good hiking and swimming with a warm and comfortable cabin to come back to. Very helpful and friendly owner. Would highly recommend.

Really enjoyed our stay. The property was clean, warm and big enough for our 4 year old to run around outside to his hearts content. The location was fantastic, amazing views and in really easy distance of a good number of hikes as well as local amenities.Only real issue was the cleanliness of the oven and the fact that the fuse box emits a constant drone that is loud enough to hear in the bedrooms, making sleep more difficult. However, you tune or out after a couple.pf days.Overall, it was a perfect place to stay

We had a wonderful week here and the cottage had everything we needed for 2 adults and 2 children. The views over the lake from the balcony were stunning at all times of day and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area. Relaxing on the balcony in the evening watching the sun go down was lovely. The owner was very friendly and helpful and gave us all the information we needed. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well-equipped with plenty of space for us all. Although the cottage is one of 9 the others are used only by their owners so it was very peaceful - only 2 others there. As the cottage is on a corner plot there was space outside for the children to play and the lake was easily accessible being opposite the cottage. We borrowed a kayak to paddle down the lake and find a beaver dam and we swam in the lake. The drying cabinet in the bathroom came in handy for the wet gear. The petrol station at the end of the lane sold milk, bread and basic provisions. Next to that was Camping 45 where you could book activities such as guided hikes or fishing trips. We also walked and cycled in the surrounding forest and stood on top of the world at Hovfjället Nature Reserve which was just a few minutes drive away. Nearby Torsby had 3 big supermarkets, an off-licence (Systembolaget), shops, tourist office, swimming pool and an indoor cross-country ski centre. We had such a great stay in this cottage that we have booked again for summer 2018!
