Great Location. Pula Center is easily reachable - 25 minutes by foot, 5 minutes by car. For us, being close to beautiful beaches, supermarkets, tennis and local restaurants was even more important. If you want to have a calm place close to the the best beaches, I highly reccomend this place. Not best for partying groups, as it’s a little out of town and there are quite strict house rules.

Quite strict and specific house rules. The home owner was very friendly though. I reckon he has just made bad experience with guests and wants reassurance. This is why you have to pay a 500€ deposit cash on arrival and sign the house rules.

Quiet apartment relatively aside of the touristic perks

The apartment is close to all necessary things. Just 12-15 minutes walk to Veruda Farmers' market. Here one can buy fresh fish (Ribarnica - they can clean fish for you), vegetables+fruits (small local farmers usually), cheese (all kinds from Istria farms), eggs, meat, and also bread, strudels, pies (sweet and salty) at local "Pekara". To reach the place in 15 minutes one needs to find the path between the "gradski bazeni" (black building with swimming pool) and football field, otherwise one needs to go around with take longer time. The restaurant Galeb is very close to apartment and it is really good. Other restaurants are 15+ minutes walk away. There are 3 beaches close to the apartment. One need to explore the wood to find the best route to them. The brave explorer can reach all beaches in 10-15 minutes. All others will take roads around then need to walk larger distances - up to 20-25 minutes. 1) Valkane beach - concrete + pebble beach - easy to find following the Veruda street to the west. 2) Beach near "Sumi More" facilities (far south part of Valkane beach) - concrete beach - the shortest path is through the wood (see the picture attached). 3) Gortan Cove (Gortanova uvala) - pebble beach - the short path is through the wood (see the picture attached). Beaches are great for swimming and sunbathing - almost nothing else is offered on most of them.

1) Host vibes were strange. The first time ever I felt that my family well-being is not the top priority. The decrease of risk for the host investment was the top priority. The host took all the measures to by on the safe (be in power position) in case of any future disagreement / negotiation. He recommended us to read all (including the small letters like on mortgage) on the house rules list we needed to sign. 2) Air-conditioning is not sufficient for the apartment. There is one unit in the hall for 3 rooms, kitchen, and entry hall. So when you enter the apartment all feels great, but later you realize that the rest of the place is too hot. The air conditioning was running all the time but no way. The AC unit would be ok for 20 m2 room not for the whole apartment. Unfortunately windows were not possible to open to allow fresh air during the night. As a result we needed to sleep with bedrooms doors open and so we lost privacy. 3) A lot of things were looking good for the first sight but in reality it was insufficient and not fully functional. E.g. apartment doors were hard to close, the water from the air-conditioning unit was dividing the terrasse by creating a spring in the middle, missing bedside table, terrace door not usable, coffee maker was available w/ no consumables (like filters), ... Examples includes: Antique equipment/decorations --> Couple of equipment pieces so-called antique (wardrobe and mirrors) were unusable. They didn't served as a decoration as they were placed in corridors bottlenecks (I was afraid to pass them not to damage them) - I felt like it was a trap for me to cause a damage. Moreover the old wardrobe due to the temperature changes opened the door from time to time. The system of garbage collection --> It was complicated with correction actions defined on mistakes. There were specials rules for: a) plastic bottles, b) tin bears/coke, c) metal cans, d) paper, e) other plastic, f) bio...

Exceptional

It's very big and comfortable apartment. There are fridge, micrivave oven, oven, air conditioner, iron, tv, and washing mashine. Internet is good and stable. Swimming pool is small, but if you want to swim there is big beach nearby about 5 minites fom the door. Also there is a mall nearby where you can find food and other stuff. In the garden live a lot of cats and turtles. I think it is very good place for vacation with children or parents. Landlord is kind and supportive.

If you use only conditioner without openning windows, it can be a little stifling in the back room.

Pure Enttäuschung - Aufenthalt abgebrochen

BILDER VON BOOKING SIND SEHR ALT! Dreckig, Staubig, Rostig und keine zurück Erstattungsanspruch, obwohl keine Übernachtung stattgefunden hat Die Eingangstüre ist rostig und hat nicht einmal einen Hebel. Das Haus ist nicht einmal von außen zu erkennen, da die Bäume das Haus komplett verdecken. Überall liegen Katzenhaare und es ist extrem staubig. Fenster dürfen nicht mal normal aufgemacht werden, da sie sonst kaputt gehen würden weil sie sehr alt sind. Nach mehrmaliger Anfrage für einen Erstattungsanspruch von Booking hat der Vermieter dies abgelehnt und wir haben unser Geld nicht zurückbekommen. Wir haben keine Nacht übernachtet und haben uns eine neue Unterkunft suchen müssen. Vor Ort meinte der Vermieter wir müssten für einen Erstattungsanspruch Booking kontaktieren, aber lehnt diesen Anspruch ab. Pure Enttäuschung! Diese Unterkunft hat nicht mal diesen 1 Stern verdient. Nicht empfehlenswert!!!
