The campsite is in a stunning location with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. The wigwams were clean, cozy, and very comfortable, perfect for a great night's sleep. It’s a great base for scenic walks and hikes nearby. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely be back!

Excellent location and grounds were neat and tidy. Local pub served great food. Village has real community atmosphere and was very welcoming.
There were no creature comforts such as a cushion to put on the solid wooden chairs and all the fittings were cheap and cheerful so it doesn't make you feel very welcome. Cleanliness was random - it looked like it had not been swept out since the last guests. The description said full bed but it is a wood frame with an inadequate foam mattress covered in plastic so very hot and very uncomfortable. We were not going to stay for our second night till we had the idea of putting the mattresses from the spare sofa bed on top of the double bed mattresses which then made it bearable. Toilet seat the cheapest of the cheap along with the toilet paper. The outside furniture is a bench/table on the grass outside so nothing that you can use on the porch other than the hard wooden chairs from inside.

The camping pod was well furnished with table and chairs, adequate bed space for four (sharing doubles). A toilet and shower cubicle within the pod is luxury camping (necessity for many). There was also a fridge, two ring induction cooker and a microwave. Although we were instructed to bring our own utensils and crockery, there were pots (no frying pan) available, which was more than I expected. There was also a useful welcome pack of cleaning supplies and toiletries. A fire bowl is positioned in front of each camping pod so that every group can have their own evening fire. The previous guests (possibly) had left a stack of wood by the fire, so we did not need to use any of our own wood. I appreciated that staff had allowed that to remain there. We were also issued with a couple of cards for the power meter on arrival. I added them to the meter for the sake of subsequent guests, as there was already adequate power available for our night’s stay.
I had planned for a barbecue on the evening of our stay, as details clearly stated that barbecues were available, but there was no grid, just an open fire bowl. We really struggled to cook what we had brought, and inspected every fire in the site, but not one had any grid, which was confirmed by staff. Eventually my son found a burnt away, mangled grid stuffed under our pod’s decking and I was able to use that, much to our relief. A cooking grid is an essential part of any barbecue and they need to be available.
Further, our pod’s bathroom smelled of cat urine, like a tom had been spraying in there. Closing the door helped, but by morning, the smell was seeping into our sleeping area. Also, the toilet roll dispenser didn’t dispense without a fight that left you with inadequate shreds of loo roll to use. I was grateful for the foresight to bring our own roll.
I had the misfortune of sleeping directly under one of the alarms in the pod. Once the sofa bed is pulled out into the room, the corner near the centre of the room is directly under alarms, and their little lights. Being quite sensitive to light, that kept me waking regularly until I repositioned my head to where my feet had been.
The fridge was set to a minimum power. I had decanted the contents of our cool box and the ice blocks into the fridge overnight, hoping to re-freeze the ice blocks. Unfortunately by morning, found the contents of the fridge barely cool and the ice blocks sloshing liquid inside. A reminder that future visitors should check and alter the fridge power beforehand to avoid the likes of inadequate cooling or frozen cucumbers.
These are all niggles that can be improved upon (except the alarm lights).

The location was fantastic. The views were stunning but, it was only a 10 minute walk to an excellent pub that served amazing food and a local shop which had a decent selection for the size of the place. The village was beautiful with some interesting buildings.
Everything was great, although they could have provided some crockery and cutlery.

Quiet , clean , beautiful views , 10mins walk into centre village , good village pub , close drive to brilliant farm shop , well serviced and maintained accommodation good sized with two double beds .
Very minor - but entrance of road does not look as good as the site is.

The view from our pod was breathtaking. The whole site has a peaceful feeling. The pod was bigger than I expected and would easily accommodate 4 folk. Great packs of toiletries and household products - sponges, scourers, fairy liquid, bin bag etc.
Having our own private toilet and shower is a huge bonus. Love having our own picnic table and fire pit too
The pull out bed was bit tricky to pull out but did make a good size double once extended fully.
As we weren’t familiar with using power cards, we weren’t sure how quickly our electric would get used up which was a bit of a worry. We needn’t have worried though as we had more than enough for our overnight stay.

Site and Staff were eceptional. Cabin was great
Everything about the site was perfect for families and those not minding noise.
I booked to get away from people as loud noises from people, especially pre-teen screechy people with no off button (I have developed problems dealing due to illness). Sadly the huts were closer to each other than I would have liked, especially with families that include young and loud folk on either side of me that (understandably so) played together in front of my deck. I couldn't tolerate being out on the deck while they were conscious, sadly it was also a perfect weather evening that I had to have my doors open for as was too warm inside with them closed. I couldn't get outside til 2100 ish and due to afore mentioned illness I was ready to sleep at 1900 but screechy problems stopped that.
If I book again I'd like some way to be sure that I could be a little more cut off. Especially as the fire pits to both sides were smoking most of the evening that set my asthma off plus as a larger fella the foam mattresses were too thin that i had to double them up to get to sleep... suffice to say I personally did not have a fantastic night's stay.

Only downside was the bed not comfortable at all we hardly slept for getting comfy our backs ached we did bring our own bedding too and sheets but mattress is like a thin cushion on a bardbed!tables and chairs were nice touch too!lovely outside bench and fire pit which we didn’t use only stayed one night!
The bed could have better mattress on it as was not comfy and difficult to get in and out when need the loo in the night!

The location, it was beautiful and peaceful. Loved the absolutely fresh air! The hut was perfect for our stay. Short distance from Stirling where we had visited and the short walk to the lion and unicorn for our tea topped it off! Food was fantastic and fresh and the staff were so friendly and relaxed even though it was busy this did not at all reflect on the food and service.
Nothing to dislike about mains farm. The staff was friendly. Liked how there was a fire pit and wood and marshmallows to buy. Would definitely had done this if it wasn't raining but didn't spoil our stay at all. Also loved watching the very large highland coo's walking about in the field.

Beautiful views, short walk from a great pub and within 10-15 minutes of swimming spots at loch lubnaig
The door on our pod was difficult to lock
6.0 / 10.0
beautiful view, every pod has it´s own parking place, good thermal isolation of the pod (we didn´t even have to use the radiator), possibility to rent a set of sleeping bag, pillow and a towel
in reality the place looks much older than on pictures (even though the pictures are correct), the inside of the pod wasn´t quite clean - cobwebs (inside and outside too), dirt near the walls and equipment on the ground, no garbage bin inside, old and quite dirty doormat. The pod is not very stable - the whole house was moving with every step. We couldn´t really close the door - in order to close them, we had to lock them everytime. Bed was the worst - no normal mattress, just something that was squeaking the whole night with our every move. The "sofa" was made of the same thing. Couldn´t really use the shower since the water was or too cold or too hot, so I gave up after 10 minutes. Even though you can rent a set of sleeping bag, pillow and a towel I would say that all of these for £25 per person are just too much (especially when the towel felt like somebody just used it before me and you have to sleep in a sleeping bag instead of normal duvet with normal sheets)

Great location as a base to explore the surrounding area and to spend time at. The staff were very helpful and friendly, check in was quick and easy and the property was clean and comfortable. A welcome pack of practical items was provided which was unexpected but very useful.
We were very happy with everything in the cabin and enjoyed our stay. Just be mindful that the cabin are simple and you'll have to bring bedding, cutlery and crockery - the hosts made this very clear in the communications prior to our arrival.

We went as our first getaway as a couple, pods are in a really nice location, quiet with small towns like Callander to explore. We noticed the pods were cleaned to a high standard and we felt secure with great locks on the main door, we would recommend people to go if they are into pod staying!
We really did enjoy it but we noticed there wasn’t any ambient lights I.e any lamps, only ceiling lights. I would think it would add another nice level of comfort if lamps were added for a dimmer light than the ceiling light to add a more cozy-er mood. We also noticed the water pressure was a little low but considering it was an outdoor pod we did expect less pressure. Last thing was the bed, we didn’t know they were mats, i understand they are easier to clean but it would’ve been nice if there was a proper mattress to sleep on.
