Entre Bodegas Jerez

We liked the spaciousness of the room as well as the privacy. The location if familiar with Jerez was very close to the historic centre.

Due to it being close to the historic centre, the roads are quite narrow and the entrance and parking is not spacious to facilitate driving.

Excellent meet and greet service from the owner, Juan. Wonderful accommodation and well located for what we wanted to do.

Only point was that this was an apartment right in the city not a converted Sherry Bodega like the other properties.

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. I was looking forward to being wowed by it, given the reviews and the photos. The place looked really great on arrival and when we stepped into the room, the tall ceilings were stunning, great furniture, really nice space. I walked to the back of the room to open the door to what I expected to be the patio described on the ad and see the palm trees and comfy seats seen on the photos. The kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom was nice and big and the place generally very bright. Now move to the “what I didn’t like” section.

When I opened the door at the back of the room, I was surprised to see that it opened on a road. No patio, no palm trees, no seating area. I contacted the owner who argued that I was incorrect for a while, despite me providing screenshots of my booking showing access to a patio, until he eventually realised that I was correct. This was not the room I had booked. He apologised and offered to move us the next day, as he had checked in other guests in the room we originally booked. I suggested that it might be best to move us to a different room rather than move everyone again but he insisted that we just swap the following day. The difference in price between the two rooms we effectively tried was a handful of Euros as far as I could tell from Booking.com. The next day we then had to come back to the place at midday to move rooms. The new one also didn’t have access to the patio with the palm trees and I was told that only selected rooms that can’t be booked on Booking.com have access to that. We did have access to a patio in the form of a table and two metal chairs in the throughway in between the garage gate and the main gate. The new room / maisonnette was small and very dark with stairs incredibly tight (most photos were cleverly taken with a wide lens to make it look big), the WiFi didn’t work once and the electricity kept tripping out. The owner offered to take a day off the parking fee to apologise and to come have a look at the breaker box later on. We didn’t see or hear from the owner after that until checking out. Upon inspection, we found that the power was tripping because of the water heater, which was falling off the wall and had been turned to maximum setting.
