Our choice was perfect for our group of 5, just looking to end the summer in a beautiful place! The location was lovely, right on the water with loons singing to us every day! The pond was great for swimming and kayaking. The house had everything we could possibly need, with comfortable furnishings. We would not hesitate to return next year! Thank you, Ellen, our host!!

We had a wonderful time staying at this lake house. Tucked in on a quiet side of the pond the kids enjoyed swimming and paddle boarding. Checkin and checkout was simple.

This is a lovely spot on a nice calm and quiet lake in great proximity to Conway. The loons were a nice touch! We loved the open concept main floor and all the space. The indoor outdoor living with the screened in porch was fantastic and the gas fire very welcome.
There were however some issues with our stay.
We had young kids with us and we had chosen a place with a sandy beach for them but this side cove beach pictured in the listing was overgrown with lilly pads and not usable which was a disappointment as that was a priority for us. We also had to place barriers against the wide spaces in the stair railings to prevent the kids from falling down to the basement or from first floor (notably the stairs are not pictured in the listing clearly). The pads on the stairs are not secured to the steps and one of my parents slipped on them. There was also a mandolin blade inside a puzzle box and my three year old nephew cut his finger on it. Ellen apologized for this and has said all boxes will be checked for such hazards in the future. We also found a loose rusty nail on the dock.
Despite the title of the listing it is not a luxury property, there are several unfinished details (plywood hearth, rotten porch windows). There are some things not covered in the listing such as outdoor cameras (which the parents in our group cared about as the kids played outside) and the cost of disposing one's own trash 5$ per bag at transfer station.
