About this apartment rental
The apartment is full of Baroque architectural elements. the entrance leads to a living room which extends to a large kitchen-dining room. The two double bedrooms are furnished with great care, the two bathrooms are with shower. The bedrooms and the kitchen-dining room have panoramic balconies with bistro tables. Colonial teak wood furniture gives the apartment a very charming atmosphere. Mattresses, sheets and towels are of excellent quality. Kitchen equipped with hob, oven, fridge, freezer, toaster ...
It is possible to park for free about 200 meters from the house.
The apartment is equipped with: air conditioning / heating, wi-fi internet, LCD TV, washer-dryer, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, ceiling paddle fans ...
On request it is possible to put a cot.
The final cleaning costs, wi-fi internet, gas, water, electricity, air conditioning and heating are included in the price of the apartment.
It is possible to park for free about 200 meters from the house.
THE BUILDING:
PALAZZO DEGLI OLIVI is an ancient Baroque building with Art Nouveau elements. Inside there are the apartments: "EUFORBIA", "LOFT LA ROCCIA", "ARCHI E BALCONI", "LA TERRAZZA DEI GELSOMINI" and the studio apartment "LA TERRAZZA SU MODICA".
The three residential floors of the building, connected by an internal staircase, have independent entrances and services, so it is possible to experience the "PALAZZO DEGLI OLIVI" both as a single dwelling, full of air and light, with 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, five balconies and two large terraces. Both as five independent units that respectively host: two, three, five, four and still two people.
The restoration was conservative and ecological: all floors and walls are in Modica stone and all rooms have ceiling fan blades to allow natural and healthy cooling, limiting the use of air conditioners, also present.

We stayed for a longer period of time in the summer. The apartment is spacious, wonderfully restored and overall very beautiful. It was well equipped and in the Sicilian hot summer it was always pleasant and even cool. For someone wanting to explore this part of Sicily, the apartment is a perfect match.

Most perfect in every respect. We went to the area to look at its historical buildings, architecture, geography and ancient historical background. The apartment was most perfect in its location for this as was the town of Modica itself. A car hire meant we drove down from Catania and then had two weeks exploring. The beaches at Modica Marina and Ragusa Marina are superb for lazing about on and swimming. The train station on Modica gave another great way to travel about and experience the countryside. Most magical---- prehistoric Greek,Roman and Norman remains alongside the more recent post earthquake of 1693 rebuilding and urban development of Modica itself...... all inspiring as was the event in the Garibaldi Thetare we attended..Thank you....

We just left this beautiful apartment after being lucky enough to spend an entire month here. If you are coming for a stay in Modica (and you really should, it’s gorgeous and intriguing!) this place is perfect! It’s large, gorgeous, clean, updated, outfitted, and everything works beautifully. The location is fabulous - right in the center of town, but tucked back from the main street, on a short, cozy, curvy, picturesque lane. We always found parking in town very nearby. The people in Modica are warm and welcoming. We had a favorite cheese place, meat place, bread place, fruit and vegetables place, coffee place, bar, osteria, restaurant - on and on - and the shop owners and staff welcomed us and helped us learn the language. Rudia, the owner of the apartment is right there too, if you need anything. We highly recommend this large two bedroom, two full-bath apartment with a large eat-in kitchen, two living areas, dishwasher, wash machine three balconies and interior stone arches galore!

Very close to the centre of Modica and shops. Great apartment with attrative and comfortable furnishings. Three small balconies to watch the comings and goings in the street below. Thanks for the welcome goodies Rudia...chocolate excellent!Need to plan parking ahead of when needed as need to display parking permit between certain hours if not in a free parking space. These can be purchased from a number of shops particularly tobaconists...we got the hang of it. Good location to visit other places in SE Scicily.
