I think I’ve been scammed

I booked one apartment which I liked and straight after on WhatsApp I got text said it’s already booked for someone else , how could be ? I already booked and I had text. However she offered 2 options and I didn’t have choice and I chose one and it was nothing like the first one .

Great area,lovely weather, brilliant holiday

Great location and view

Could not find a way to enter the building as all reception floor closed due to building works.Finally followed a cleaner through a back door with all our luggage!!! Would have been good to know before arrival.Apartment a bit tired but nice and spacious, great location.

Disappointing!

The location is very near to the JBR

Pictures are AI enhanced and apartment doesn't resemble pictures. We only stayed one night as front door lock was broken and we had to wedge a door behind the lock so left and refused to stay further. Front reception is all boarded up due to construction works so access is via a foul smelling fire escape which has been used as a toilet! Overall not impressed

Dont trust the pictures!!!!!

Location

Filthy, not organized, poor service, huge difference between the pictures on booking and real place. We were a group of 6 and my booking was for 6 people, there was not enough utensils, kitchenware, towels, toilet paper, etc. they show a full size fridge on booking but we got a half size fridge. Our groceries went bad and after a hundred tines follow up and 2 days they replaced the fridge with a full size when our groceries was already wasted. The kitchenware was old and damaged and unsafe. We had 2 table spoons, 3 table-forks, and random qty of other items. Unbelievable. After constant follow up they brought us more plates and tea spoons. Super dirty place including sheets, towels, equipments etc. st the first sight it was obvious that this place was not prepared for new guests. the only good thing about it was the location and view. I would not waste my money in a place like this.

ONLY VIEW through dirty/dusty windows WAS GOOD, but nothing else…

AVOID THIS PLACE THIS IS NOT LUXURY APARTMENTS AT ALL… BELIEVE ME APARTMENT PICTURES IS FAR AWAY FROM REALITY: dirty walls and really dusty/dirty windows, fake flowers and dining table which one really bad condition, balcony door don’t work properly many times stuck and was really hard to close, kitchen ware and cutlery as well very bad condition and many others things… No news or movies channels selection at all… no BBC no CNN no euro or SKY news only one TV channel was in Arabic language… I would say If advertising on booking.com as “Luxury apartment” then should be selection of channels… When we arrived 3pm(checkin time is 3pm) and apartments was NOT ready, we waiting 30-40min until cleaning guy finish clean apartment. One more thing what I really don’t like was that the host was I would say rude trying get our passport copies through WhatsAp… When we arrived building security take all our passport copies, but later host said to me “you must provide your passport copies” through the WhatsApp… I travel a lot, but never and nobody before asked me send passport copies through the WhatsApp!!!!! I don’t like share passport copies with who I never so and don’t know - BE VERY CAREFUL TOURISTS sending passport copies to this host which one communicates with guests only through WhatsApp! The price was high for this “luxury apartment” and NO personal care taken by the host. By the way older SECURITY guy was really good and very helpful.

Beautiful apartment. The apartment is same as shown in the pictures and the same view. No PlayStation was available. Rest of the amenities are there. The host was very helpful. Down the building the tourist transportation Tram is there. Beach is good and is crowded

The view and location, but there are many other apartments in this area that are have are less expensive but are better and cleaner.

The apartment claims to have the "luxury of a 5 star hotel while also giving you coziness of a home". Well, the place was surely no way 5 star luxury and would even struggle to get just 3. The hygiene was appalling. Greasy tables and dusty surfaces in all the room. In the living room wall were red stains from red wine or blood. If you walked on the floor your soles turned brown. There were remains of toothpaste from prior guests on the bathroom walls and mirror. The sofas had stains and food remains on them. In one of the bedrooms there was an unidentifiable yellow slime on the wall almost like snort. It was quite disgusting. We notified the host and she sent the cleaners. They basically made the beds and the rest remained the same, not cleaner at all. The kitchenware and plates and glasses, cutlery were to few and dirty too. The reason for this was that there was no dishwasher and guests wash what they use by hand, we doubt the host checks the cleanliness in between guests. At the time of our (short stay as we moved out when the cleanliness did not improve after the cleaners came) there was a major renovation going on at the apartment next door with a lot of noise during the day. The host should mention this to prospective guest as there is a notice about this hanging in the building. In addition to this some of the advertised facilities were not present in the apartment. There is no Playstation 3 or video games that were advertised. The fridge is extremely old and small. There were to few towels and they were quite worn. The host stopped communicating after the unsuccessful cleaning and when we asked were the Playstation was. There was no personal care taken by the host as advertised. Communication was strictly Whatsapp. The price was exceptionally high for such a low standard.

wonderful Stay

Beautiful apartment with amazing view. the apartment is quite big and spacious. it has all the basic amenities. beach is just down the building across the road. beach mall is very close by. The apartment has 3 beds, which make is very easier for the big family. There are many pools and you can go to any of of them. The tram station is across the road.

- No place to park. Every parking slot they give will be taken by other cars and they will ask u to speak to security about it - Old building. Apartment next to ours was under complete renovation and we were not informed at booking. Hammering and break downs would start at 8 am in the morning and continue all day. When I spoke to management, they said it is what it is. If it was communicated by the under renovation apartment, ideally for that weekend this place should not have been available for booking. It was a nightmare

Total disaster !

The view out of the windows, and the location was just about all you could say was positive about the property and stay.

Just about everything else was poor. We arrived past our check-in time to find what appeared to be a trashed apartment with food on sofas, condom wrappers on beds and a kitchen that was a mess. We then had to leave and give up 2.5 hrs of rest time after a long journey from Australia to allow cleaners in. After the cleaning, we returned to an apartment that was still stinking (sewage or possible drainage like smell) that we have had to bear for 3 nights, bedsheets/linen that stank like they hadn't been dried properly, and the second shower inoperable due to the lack of a shower curtain. (5 of us had to share the only remaining shower). To cap off a miserable stay, the fridge appeared to develop a water leak on our last day leaving a wet kitchen floor to navigate through. All of this was reported on day 1 with no action forthcoming. We came as a family with 3 teenage kids and did all we could to avoid spending any more time than necessary at the accommodation. At the very least, would have expected a refund. Avoid this place, should have booked the Hilton across the road which my parents did for less money. Worst experience i have had in 14 years of travelling either for personal travel or business.

the view of the appartement is definitely the highlight. amazing location as well and very helpful host. what disappointed me is that the pool is far and part of a complexe (not just for the building) and same for the gym which is even further !
