Depressing and badly in need of maintenance

Very little. The location was good for the Colosseum.

Just about everything. Very little works in this apartment. The washing machine washed the clothes but refused to spin them so they came out dripping wet. The only place to dry clothes was outside on the terrace, but no pegs and it was raining. Sockets were hanging off the wall. The hairdryer made a terrible noise and smelled of burning. By far the worst problem was that the bedroom window faced onto the internal staircase and didn't have any curtains so light streamed through all night and made sleep impossible. I messaged the owners via WhatsApp to ask them to replace the hairdryer and cover the window with something. That message was read but ignored. After another night of broken sleep I decided to cut my losses and find alternative accommodation losing 4 nights that I'd already paid for. I messaged the owners again to say that I was checking out. That message wasn't even read. Maybe they'd blocked my number after my message highlighting problems. At this point I read the reviews on booking.com and found they mostly told the same sorry tale. I hadn't read the reviews before I booked. I will in future. My advice is read the reviews and don't be taken in by the photos. I paid an extra 400 GBP for alternative accommodation but even so it was worth it to get some sleep.

Location is good, literally 2 min from metro.

The kitchen drawers were full of fungi smell and it does not go away. Water leaking above the toilet and it dripped on us while we used the toilet. The mattress is old and uncomfortable. The bottom of the curtains in the shower room is yellowish not clean. The refrigerator is noisy.

The location is very convenient in Rome.

The property is a little bit old. There is no elevator;, you have to bring your bags up the narrow staircases. They will charge a very high amount of the tourist tax of 30€+10€ of bed linen and towels, which is a hidden cost.

Bad hosts, false advertising, smelly, dirty…. Don’t waste your money.

Only the location, everything was terrible.

Upon arrival, I Had to stand outside for 15 mins to get access, I tried calling all the numbers but nobody was answering. The listing specifically states two beds, but the room only had one. After contacting them, they just said sorry only one bed and would not answer again. Room smelt terrible. The terrace is unusable due to the very bad smell outside. Stove does not light and no lighter Place not clean and really bad smell in the apartment. Dirty towels in bathroom. Door does not lock from the inside, anyone with a key can just enter. Bags of dirty laundry in the appt when we arrived. There is no curtain I. The bedroom and the outside light is very bright in the room, so difficult to sleep. I will never stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with all the essential facilities provided for a comfortable stay. The location is absolutely perfect—just a 10-minute walk to the Colosseum and with Cavour metro station right next to the apartment. There are also several supermarkets and restaurants conveniently located just beside the building. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Rome!

The heater/air conditioning could work better, as the room felt quite cold at times. Additionally, the hot water in the shower occasionally turned cold unexpectedly, which was a bit inconvenient.

Being close to Cavour metro station was the only favourable thing.

The house was unclean, the kitchen sink was broken, the outside area had a rotten table, the hot water never functioned well, the bedroom has a window that faces the inner staircase which is always lit up by a light that can't be turned off.

Uncomfortable & noisy

Unfortunately, the stay was very uncomfortable. Very poor bed , very poor bed sheets, no extra pillow or blanket, every day we wake up with back pains, very noisy appartement , we can not sleep all night, tracks all over the night to clean the restaurants around. We stayed 5 nights, 0 cleaning was provided although they mention cleaning twice a week. Entering the appartement by end of the day was unpleasant moment because we know that we will not have rest and we will not sleep well. The only positive point is the location.

Cute and cosy in great location

Location was excellent, just a few steps to metro station, shops restaurants and bars all within a couple of minutes, and colosseum less than 10 mins walk away. Cute apartment and comfortable, hosts were readily available via WhatsApp and quick to reply, the air con was much needed in the heat and worked great, we didn't use the kitchen facilities but it seemed most things were there. The plug adapter was appreciated. Instructions and communication from hosts was excellent.

The apartment was smaller than expected, being a single room with a small kitchenette and adjourning bathroom. Other apartment shown on photos is much bigger and has the terrace and seperate kitchen. Wasn't clear from booking that we were in the single room apartment. Also booking details said toiletries included so we didn't pack any shampoo, shower gel etc and no toiletries were provided so we had to go out and buy these. A number of the draws and cupboard spaces available were full of random items including a hammer and some childrens clothes leaving only one draw and a small cupboard for our clothes.

The location is extraordinary. Very close to Subway and many interesting cultural places. Witch restaurants and supermarkets. The owners answered fast to doubts and questions.

Pleasant

The room was spacious and very cute. The location is next to the underground station and near the Colloseum. Also, there are many bars and restaurants nearby, so you do not need to go far in case your are tired after a day's walk.

The entrance door would open if you called a certain phone number and when we arrived it did not work, therefore we had to wait 30 minutes for the hosts to arrive and open us. The room did not have soap, which I have never experienced before. Our bedroom, had a small curtain to hide the light from the hallway, but did not do a good job and hence there was light in the room at all times. Lastly, very bad sound insulation, you could hear whatever the neighbors where doing.

Linen for building is stored in this apartment, which means you are, at times, being disturbed when items required for other apartments, a little aggravating when your looking for privacy. Terrace area was very dusty & could use a little tlc.

The location was very good. cheap. Good airconditioning.

The Electric kettle did not work. Very poor lighting. There was no lighting around the kitchenette and dining table and it was really dark even in daytime. No Toaster. No shampoo, no coffee, no cooking oil. No hanger for the towel in the bathroom. No ironing board. They claim to have Soundproofing, which clearly is not the case. You can hear every single noise from outside. You can't use the stove and A/C at the same time, the electricity fuse keeps tripping even with the lowest stove degree and A/C on. Old and cheap dining table and wardrobe. More than half of the wardrobe was occupied for their own storage. So I couldn't hang my long dress. The host was too late/slow to answer. *!!! There was no parking (even paid), we had to use a nearby garage, named Tuttauto, at Via Urbana 172, paying 26 euros for a night, which took our keys and also damaged our car !!!* We chose this place compared to another listing only because it said it has a paid parking, which was not the case.
