About this chalet rental

This is a traditional, cosy pine clad Swiss chalet with magnificent panoramic views which extend over 270 degrees. The large terrace and surrounding garden are in the sunshine from early morning to sunset. This is a sunny place to relax in peace and quiet, listening to bird song, cow bells and church bells from villages across the valley. In the summer, set off from the chalet for high mountain walks, rock climbing etc and in winter snow shoeing and skiing are minutes away. Come back in the winter evening to relax in from of a lovely log fire and in summer enjoy a barbeque in the garden. Little has changed in the beautiful Val d'Herens. From the chalet you can make day trips to the entire canton of Valais visiting its numerous beautiful valleys extending from Verbier in the west to Zermatt and Saas fee in the east. Tourist tax, heating, WiFi, electricity, firewood, final check out and cleaning are included in the rental price. Sheets and towels are not included but can be ordered from the cleaning company.

Chalet Hirondelle in Mases is a beautiful house with a breathtaking view. The house is very comfortable, everything is there that you need for a relaxed stay. We just missed a Raclette machine. The environment is very good for walking and for exploring the beautiful villages and mountains.

We spent a wonderful week in Chalet Hirondelle. Time stops here and the fascinating surroundings give you a chance to reconnect with nature, relax and enjoy being in the mountains to the most! Equally perfect for active sporty people or for those who are looking for a calmer and quieter holiday. Isabelle and Mark are great hosts. The booking and check-in procedures were smooth and efficient. They were extremely kind and flexible to our special requests! They gave us great tips as we were new to the area. Thanks again for the wonderful experience! The chalet is cosy and charming; the perfect size: one feels immediately at home. It is also very well equipped with everything you need for your vacation. The terrace is huge and sunny with a magnificent view. We spent hours outside, eating (in February), reading and enjoying the sun, admiring the snow capped mountains and listening to the birdsongs. It's a perfect location for hiking or skiing days - with children too - as everything is within a short reach. We fell in love with the place so much, that we made a reservation again for two weeks next year and can hardly wait to return! We miss it already!

Wir hatten eine sehr entspannte Woche über Weihnachten und Silvester! Das Chalet hat eine riesige Terrasse mit traumhaftem Blick, tolle Lage, sehr sauber, sehr ruhig, ideal für Familie. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und immer erreichbar. Wir würden gerne wiederkommen!

Wir haben im Juli 2021 eine wunderschöne Woche im Hirondelle verbracht. Das Chalet liegt traumhaft und ist super eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und zu Hause gefühlt. Auch die Kommunikation mit den Eigentümern war sehr persönlich, nett und prompt. Wir kommen gerne wieder und freuen uns auf die wunderschöne Umgebung und das schöne Chalet - und auf die morgendliche Tour zum Brötchenholen 200 Höhenmeter runter ins Dorf :-)!

Le chalet Hirondelle a absolument tout pour passer des vacances de rêve..... il est super bien situé (plein sud) avec une vue magnifique. Le chalet est très très propre, bien entretenu et avec une cheminée romantique. La cuisine est vraiment bien équipée, il y a tout pour se faire à manger tranquillement en famille. En plus, le domaine skuable Mont Noble est à 10 minutes en voiture. Nous avons eu toute la semaine une météo first clasd🙏🙏🙏👍 Les propriétaires Isabelle et Mark sont hyper sympas attentionnés et disponibles ! Thank you for this amazing week in your chalet!!!! Great stay in beautiful surroundigs

Very cosy chalet with outstanding view in beautiful surrounding. We found the chalet at short notice, as we had to change our plans due to COVID-restrictions. The Communication with the hosts was always prompt, helpful and very cordial. The chalet was perfectly equiped and modern, despite its cosy appearance - the dish washer was broken, but that was communicated from the beginning on, so no problem. From the chalet we went skiing in Nax with our children, and went for small walks around the chalet (Bisse de Tsa Crêta to recommend even for a night walk in the snow). Arrival as departure were very uncomplicated and flexibel. Thank you again to Isabelle and Mark for everything!

Great stay in this lovely chalet. I'd agree with all the other positive comments already written! Great location for walks, spacious comfortable chalet, comfy beds... We were worried before booking by a previous comment which mentioned the very steep slope in the garden is dangerous for small children. Yes, it could hurt but it's a slope not a cliff, and we felt ok with it for our 2 yr old.

Lage und Chalet sehr gut. Sauberkeit und Küchenausrüstung könnten besser sein. Leider viele Fliegen und Ohrkneifer überall in der Wohnung. Gewisse Gegenstände (Toaster, Wasserkocher, Geschirrspülmaschine, Sonnenstore) waren nicht benutzbar. Sehr angenehme Vermieter (Isabelle und Mark Hero), mit denen ein reger Informationsaustausch stattfand.

Das Chalet hat eine geniale Lage. Die Aussicht ist einmalig und und wunderschön. Es ist mit allem ausgestattet was man in den Ferien braucht. Die Kommunikation mit Isabelle und Mark war super, sie waren immer interessiert und hilfsbereit. Wir erhielten viele gute Ausflugtipps und sie setzen sich für uns ein, als wir dachten wir hätten die Schuhe unseres Sohnes im Haus vergessen. Leider wurde der Grill auf den Fotos von einem Vormieter beschädigt, was uns nicht mitgeteilt wurde. Das war schade. Es war aber ein kleiner Holzhohle Grill als Ersatz dort. Das war okay aber natürlich nicht das gleiche. Die Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren entgegen der Beschreibung leider nicht mehr im Preis inklusive (30,- pro Person) und - das wurde im Vorfeld kommuniziert- die Spülmaschine war defekt. Wie hätten uns als Geste ein Entgegenkommen im Mietpreis gewünscht. Das Haus ist aber vergleichsweise günstig weswegen wir mit dem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden waren und wenn wir in der Region nochmal Ferien machen, gerne wieder kommen. Für Kleinkinder ist das Haus nicht optimal. Es gibt links und rechts von der Terasse steile Anhänge, was das Aufpassen aber intensiv gestaltet. Fazit: tolles Haus, auch für ein kleineres Budget geeignet und man muss dafür kaum Abstriche machen. Klare Empfehlung!

Chalet très agréable à vivre, spacieux, un endroit très calme, une vue à couper le souffle. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Nous recommanderons ce bel endroit Petit bémol, nous avons eu une grande quantité de neige et nous avons eu beaucoup de peine à dégager l'accès vu la configuration des lieux. Nous aurions apprécié une aide pour nous seconder.

Sehr schöne hohe Lage mit toller Aussicht. Von 8.15 Uhr bis 20.15 Uhr Sonne auf der Terrasse (im August)! Schönes Rhoneseitental, wo man gut wandern kann. Wenn man in der Nähe hoher Gipfel wandern will, ist man hier an der richtigen Adresse. Auch das Rhonetal mit all seinen Möglichkeiten und Wärme ist gut erreichbar und sehr empfehlenswert. Kleiner Nachteil der sonst tollen hohen Lage ist dass man oft auch erst wieder runter fahren muss, bevor man andere Ziele erreicht. Wir haben sehr genossen von den 2 Ferienwochen in Chalet d' Hirondelle und kommen gerne wieder. Es gibt noch genug zu erkunden in der abwechslungsreichen Umgebung. .

Nous étions deux couples et nous avons passé une semaine formidable. Le chalet est très propre et est très bien équipé. Plusieurs randonnées possibles au départ du chalet. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la randonnée jusqu’à La Combe qui passe par Pravolin.

Depuis13 ans nous louons le chalet l’Hirondelle tout le mois d’août, mais pour des raisons de santé c’est la dernière année. Nous avons été très heureux dans ce chalet situé au cœur du Valais, superbe région. Un de ses points forts : très grande terrasse ensoleillée avec vue à 180o, magique. L’intérieur est décoré avec goût, lumineux (beaucoup plus que sur les photos de l’intérieur), très confortable, 2 grands canapés bien profonds, cuisine au top et belle cheminée pour l’hiver. A l’étage 2 des chambres ont des porte-fenêtres entièrement vitrées, donnant sur un balcon avec toujours cette vue grandiose. Propreté parfaite. Et cerise sur le gâteau, des proprio charmants et à l’écoute de leurs hôtes. Merci à Mark et Isabelle.

Chalet Hirondelle ist sehr zu empfehlen. Sehr gute Kommunikation und Information vor der Anreise, während des Aufenthaltes vor Ort (durch Carol) und nach der Rückreise. Das Chalet ist sehr gut ausgestattet und in einem sehr guten Zustand. Wir haben alles wie beschrieben vorgefunden. Das Chalet hat eine ausgezeichnete Lage mit einem tollen Ausblick. Gerne wieder!

Schön gelegenes, sauberes, komplett ausgestattetes Haus in schöner Wander-Umgebung. Wir haben hier zu viert eine Woche Wander-Urlaub verbracht und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Alles Technische (Küche, TV, WLAN) funktionierte einwandfrei, die Zimmer sind gemütlich eingerichtet, dazu herrlicher Ausblick und - zumindest in unserer Urlaubswoche - perfektes Wetter. Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern und der lokalen Ansprechperson war sehr nett und blitzschnell. Vertragsabschluss und Geldtransfers erfolgten ohne irgendwelche Verzögerungen. Hilfreich waren auch die netten Touren-Tipps für uns, weil wir leider mit den meist französisch-sprachigen Touristen-Informationen wenig anfangen konnten. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Vielen Dank!
