Palm Garden Guest House

Quiet location,nice breakfast,helpful and friendly proprietor.

We had a wonderful time at Ranjith’s place. The territory of the guesthouse is not so large and there are just a few rooms, so it is really calm and peaceful there. Though it is located near the main road, the sounds didn’t disturb us. There is a beautiful garden with plenty of fruit trees on the territory of the guest house and you can watch the parrots there:) When we arrived we had a very warm welcome and Ranjith was extremely helpful during our stay. He cared so much about us staying comfortable that we felt like we came to visit our good friend!:) He speaks English perfectly (as well as Italian and German), so it was easy to communicate with him. Ranjith told us many interesting things about Sri Lanka, recommended lots of nice places and also arranged a tuk tuk to go to Galle and places around. It was possible to order breakfast for any time in the morning and the breakfast was delicious! Ranjith cooks wonderful! Hope we come back to Sri Lanka one day and we’ll definitely stay at Ranjith’s place again. Thank you!!!

Most important thing, owner was super friendly and helpful! He show us his garden, and told stories about animals that visit his place and plants he has in it. Room and bathroom was clean (there were clean towels and mosquiter around bed), there was hot water with good pressure in shower. Breakfast wasn't so big as in the other places, but it was very good, and owner even prepare specialy for us other fruits to show us how they taste. Really recommend it!
