About this house rental

A traditional Dalmatian stone house located in the center of Podgora, at the heart of events close to restaurants, cafés and shops, yet protected from noise and prying eyes as it is located on a quiet street. Walking along the road, you will find the promenade at a small harbor, which forms the center of the old seaside town of Podgora, with stone houses and ships.

This traditional Dalmatian house has been preserved in its original form with fully functional facilities and amenities, including antique furniture, since its construction in 1936. Thick stone walls ensure a natural coolness and a pleasant stay in the house, and the large terrace on the first floor has a view that extends to the gardens, the forest of the place and the mountains Biokovo. The house has a small library of books in Croatian, English, German, Italian and French.

The captain's house in Podgora is an ideal house for a family holiday or a holiday with friends who want to spend their time together and enjoy the beaches and natural features of Podgora.

The house can accommodate 4-6 persons and consists of a kitchen with dining room, a triple room, two twin bedrooms (one room is bedroom and living room), a bathroom with separate shower and toilet area and two terraces, one of which, the 12 m2, located in front of the kitchen and ideal for dining in the ambience of the green of the adjacent gardens.

On the first floor there are the twin living room, the kitchen and a large terrace, while the triple, twin and bathroom are on the second floor. The ground floor is a small restaurant, a so-called tavern, which is currently not used.

The house is about 20 meters from the sea, and from the nearest beach 5 minutes walk along the promenade. Nearby are several restaurants, cafes, shops, boat rentals and other tourist facilities. Podgora is rich in white pebble beaches stretching all the way to the villages of Tučepi and Drašnice near Podgora, which are only a few kilometers away. Podgora has clean seawater that has not been polluted by industry or other pollutants. The beaches outside the village are covered with pines and you can comfortably spend the whole day at the beach in the sun or in the shade. There are restaurants serving food and drinks at two major beaches outside the village, 10 and 20 minutes' walk along the coast from the house. Podgora has a long tradition of nudist beaches, and today it is possible to enjoy naturist tourism on Dračevac beach, which is 15-20 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by car from the house. In Podgora you can enjoy various water sports or go diving organized, go on trips to Biokovo Nature Park (located above Podgora) or enjoy walks along the 4 km long seaside promenade.
