About this country house rental

Upon entering The Haybarn you will find a large bright kitchen which is very well equipped with modern amenities including dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and fridge/freezer. Step down into a fabulous open-plan lounge and dining area with comfy seating, fast Wi-Fi, TV with English FreeSat channels. Featuring beautiful oak beams and large open fire place, the lounge also gives access to the south facing terrace, outdoor dining area and beyond to a private garden and pool.

Upstairs three large luxurious bedrooms (all super-king or twin) which overlook the garden and French countryside. Two of the bedrooms have newly fitted shower/en-suite facilities, with the third having access to a first floor shower room comprising a shower cubicle, basin and WC.
All have polished wood floors, large south-facing shuttered windows and soft inviting beds with super comfortable mattresses and cool, crisp white linen. Any of the three will take a child’s cot with little impact on your own space, although two of the rooms are a little more spacious.
In addition there is a bathroom downstairs with bath.

Nous avons loué cette maison mi août. 3 belles chambres (dont deux avec douche et wc), une grande cuisine et un grand salon / salle à manger. + 1 salle de bain avec wc, 1 salle de douche avec wc et 1 wc indépendant. Décoration soignée, ce qui est appréciable. Maison agréable et simple à vivre. Côté extérieur il y a un jardin pour les enfants et pour le barbecue ainsi que table et chaises extérieures. La piscine est bien séparée donc pas de problème concernant la sécurité - elle reste cependant facile d’accès et à côté de la maison. La piscine est agréable et on y trouve chaises longues et parasols. Les propriétaires Andrea et Terry sont accueillants et sympathiques. Il est cependant préférable d’avoir deux trois notions d’anglais. La région demande à être visité - avec une mention spéciale pour Aubeterre-sur-Dronne. Pour résumer, nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Je ne peux que vous recommander d’y faire un tour !

The Haybarn house is a wonderful place. The house itself, the garden, the pool, the views and the location make for a perfect holiday. We stayed as a family of 4, with a 17 and 19 year old. There are great spaces to spend time together and plenty of spaces for alone time. Kayaking, on our to do list, was quite accessible in the region and we did a lovely trip on the Dronne River. Eating dinner outdoors and watching the sunset over the quaint village of Verteillac will be one of our favorite memories. Andrea and Terry are great hosts and we look forward to coming back to this cosy, welcoming home.
