Ayurveda Villa 386

I stayed for 9 nights beginning of April 2026 I flew in to Sri Lanka, last minute, without a plan other than knowing I wanted an Ayurvedic Yoga retreat, as I was very run down mentally and physically. After a days research I visited a couple of retreats where I just turned about without notice, and Villa 386 was by far the better and as luck was with me I was able to book in the next day. Beautiful buildings and gardens Gorgeous pool - serene jade green tiles, with Dragonflies and Kingfishers dipping through, surrounded by Frangipani and Hibiscus then banana trees, coconut palms and mango trees where playful monkeys came to feast. All the staff were really lovely, such genuine kindness and thoughtful care which I am so grateful for🙏🏻 The Ayurvedic treatments were so many and varied. The doctor made sure I had month’s worth of the Ayurvedic meds to take home for a small cost and I can get in touch should I need more. I didn’t need to worry about anything, at all, as all my meals were planned and provided, nearly all vegetarian but I had egg a few times, fish twice and chicken twice. A large plate of fresh fruit 3 times a day too! Some wonderful curries such as Loofah curry, Snakes Gourd curry, various delicious Sambals. I felt I learned a lot about different vegetables and Ayurvedic plants while I was there. After arriving there with the weight of the world on my shoulders I was able to focus just on myself and my only worry was to make sure I awoke in time for my 7.30 am yoga. I almost didn’t want to write a review in case too many people start going and then there wouldn’t be space for me to go back! Only go there if you are in need of complete peace and quiet and restoration.

There is nothing I didn’t like, but perhaps the massage room could maybe do with a small refresh or decorate? They are charming already but maybe fresh layer of paint, during off season.

Everything was great! Really friendly and helpfull staff! Great food, maybe not too much but for sure it is healthy if you do ayurvedic treatments and eat a little less! You get more if you ask for it!

Great setting. Peaceful with a daily mongoose to visit!! The staff were so friendly & welcoming The Ayurvedic massage was amazing.
