    I loved our stay here. My only concern is that they make-up the room even if you don't put a sign outside to make-up the room. Im quite particular since sometimes we just leave valuables behind. although nothing was lost, I would appreciate it if they only enter the room if you hang the "make-up room" outside the door. Also, it would be nice if the breakfast buffet has more non-pork options. Overall, it's a good hotel.

    I came to Bacolod for vacation and decided to stay in Sugarland. I actually love the place. I was happy with the experience and the staff not until the issue about the pool. To be fair, I wasn’t sure about their rules so I made sure to ask the front desk the night before the following: 1. What are your pool rules 2. Can my cousins who isn’t with us, come here and use the pool. I won’t be swimming. 3. How many can use the pool The staff told me, that yes, we can use the pool. And to be honest I was surprised there was no limit. And that the one using the pool need to sign the waiver. So here I thought okay so everything is good I can tell my cousins they can swim. I won’t be swimming anyway. So D-day, I went to the front desk and asked for the waiver. I believe it was a supervisor at that time. To my surprise I was told that only the guest can swim. My cousins are already there, you know, and then poof. So I explained that yesterday I made sure to ask. But the tone of the supervisor, she kept on repeating the policy and that their staff would have known the rules and policy. She kept on repeating it to my face as if I don’t understand what she’s saying. And I was like, why does she make me sound like I was lying? My point was, I felt so wronged. If you think about it. How else would have I known about the waiver if I hadn’t come up to the front desk and ask prior. I don’t know where the misunderstanding begin. I lost face to my cousins, they wouldn’t have come with the swim bags if we had known it was not allowed. I was so upset and that ruined everything for me. My 5 days there would have been perfect had that unpleasant experience didn’t happen. I mean who takes responsibility of the misinformation. Well, in the end they let 1 adult and 1 child to use the pool. But I was already upset, very upset that it ruined my whole day. Thus, I’m writing this review. I should have recorded my conversation had I known.

    Love staying at Sugarlang hotel. The place is very clean. You can stay there all day & don’t get bored because they have a pool & restaurant inside. WiFi is fast too. The food on their menu is so delicious & their serving is good enough. Customer service is always excellent. Highly recommended.
