Casa Paola is located on Como Lake, at few steps from the beach and at only 5 minutes from the romantic “lake promenade” from where, crossing typical cafes, bars and restaurants you will reach the historic center of Varenna.
The apartment consists of a single room with living/kitchenette/bed and bathroom. Newly furnished, it has a kitchenette, dining table, chairs, shelves, sofa, double bed, wardrobe. Casa Paola is equipped with TV, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, glasses, dishes and everything you need for a complete use and an independent stay. The bathroom, with window, has sink, shower, toilet, bidet and washing machine.
Casa Paola has a little panoramic balcony and a large, and also panoramic, private terrace of 35 sqm, equipped with deck chairs, table and chairs for enjoying breakfast in the morning, the afternoon sunshine and the evenings outdoors. Casa Paola offers to its guests a private garage under the apartment. This solution is also perfect for a pet!
Casa Paola is 600 meters from the train station of Varenna, with direct trains from and to Milan every hour, and 500 mt from the ferry that connects Varenna to Bellagio, Cadenabbia, Menaggio, Tremezzo and all the lake center.

Perfect place to stay if you were visiting Lake Como. This apartment is very close to Varina and the ferry station and the train station. It was just the right size for two people and could have even been fine with one more. We loved our stay and all are already talking about returning.

The unit was bright and clean, and in good condition. It is a small space, but perfectly suitable for a couple. The view from the balcony is perfect. It's location was a bit outside of town, but we considered this a plus and it was clearly described in the listing as such. Be advised that the unit is noisy, as it is located between the main road into town and the rail line. You WILL hear traffic from both. The check in process was the worst part of the stay. The unit is managed by a property service, and they were extremely professional and well-prepared, however, in order to get the keys to the unit, one has to go to the property service office, which is located in the opposite direction of the unit. We arrived in the rain, and walked into town to pick up our keys. This is something we've never before encountered, as we are always met at the location, or given the option of a lockbox for keys. As well, the hours of service of the property service were very restrictive, and key pickup outside of their normal office hours would have resulted in a 50 euro penalty. As mentioned, they were extremely well-prepared and professional, however the fact we had to walk almost 1 km to obtain our keys, only to walk that same distance in the opposite direction was rather unwelcome. If you are traveling by car, this is a non-issue.

Beautiful views from the balcony and inside! The place had a good fridge and glasses, so we went to the market and got some water, tea, wine, and beer, and then we were all set.
Awesome that it had a washer; as this was not our first stop, we did need to wash our clothes. The washer does not dry, but a clothes horse is provided and worked fine.
It is a little bit of a hike to old town, but not bad. The views surely make up for any inconvenience.
The only downside was the check in process as the office and property are on the opposite directions from the train station. I would suggest a keypad entry system or a lockbox at the property with a keypad and the keys inside. Not a big deal though. Still a great place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Paola. The apartment was really nice, great view overcrowded lake, we loved the big terasse in the evening and enjoyed the sunset view.
When we came the shower was falling apart but it got fixed right away. One little thing, we had to wait for our check in till the cleaning was done, personally I think it could have been better cleaned.
To our surprise there was no free WiFi in the house.
Otherwise a beautiful place!
Maybe rethink the WiFi topic, that would add convenience
