R&D Rest and Dream Capri

Hotel was in a lovely, quiet part of town, but still near to the shops, bars and restaurants. The rooftop terrace was a lovely bonus - we had a morning coffee up there. We took the chair lift in the morning (10 min walk away) - it opens at 9.30am so make sure you go early as the queues really build up!

We had booked 2 rooms - one was a deluxe double with seaview, and the other was a regular double with balcony. When we arrived, we were told one of the blinds in the deluxe room (there were 2 huge windows) had been broken by the previous occupant, and there hadn't been time to get it fixed. We were offered the choice of another, much smaller twin room with no balcony (but a working blind) which we decided to accept as we didn't want to be woken up at 5am by the sun streaming in. Unfortunately, as we had paid up front, we were not able to claim any sort of money back for the lesser room.

The roof terrace is an absolute game changer! The sunset view was stunning and the night sky if you can stay awake is just as gorgeous. The shower was amazing and the host was so understanding of our delays in getting to them (backpacking life) The room was very comfortable and cool with was fantastic. It just away from the centre (5mins walk) but it’s sooo quiet

The location was great, walking distance to restaurants and attractions in AnaCapri. Really enjoyed the terrace.

Kitchen area and room had an issue with ants and property had a smell in the hallways.

We were not asked our arrival time in advance. When we got the accommodation for check in, the doors were locked and we could not get a hold of the host (tried calling multiple times). A kind person nearby then helped us by calling the hosts brother at a nearby bar. Overall we ended up waiting for over 30 minutes, which meant we couldn't take the chairlift up to see the views (it had closed by the time we got there). We were told that this is common - while the accommodation is great, I would suggest that you contact the owner a day or so in advance and tell them your arrival time. Also, give them your WhatsApp number.
