Casa Lobo

Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel feels very secure and safe. The communal area was a nice place to meet others and the drinks fridge was very handy. The view from the pool is beautiful. Location was good - the area is quiet for good rest at night and we never had an issue getting a tuk tuk. There is a good café just down the road, and a local store can also do your laundry which was helpful.

The pool could be a bit cleaner. Our shower did not run cold, and the room was a little dark/lighting could be improved. These are all minor and I would still happily book to stay here again!

You are not allowed to bring your own drinks into this hotel. This is not mentioned in the booking description. As you could not cancel, this is a big negative point! The prices for the drinks are around 30% higher than in the surrounding supermarkets.

Gorgeous views and convenient drink fridge for purchase. In-unit shower had amenities like shampoo/body wash/conditioner. Cute cat on the property. The local tuk tuk drivers all knew where Casa Lobo is when we got rides. Good variety of cookware in the shared kitchen. The TV with Netflix in the house was a nice touch.

Not a lot of good dining options within walking distance so plan to take a tuk tuk into town for most restaurants. Room was warm at night so we had to open windows to cool it down, and there are a lot of mosquitos in the area. There was a mosquito net above the bed, but it wasn't super breathable. Would have liked if the bed had a flat sheet in addition to blankets. Lastly, the website showed a blender in our unit so we bought fruit at the local market to make smoothies - however, there was no blender when we got there.
