Nestled in the heart of the 'Isle of Joy', in amongst the ancient alleyways of the old capital, is this fully self-catering, top-floor, one-bedroom apartment with all modern amenities. Enjoy the magical pedestrian heart of old Rabat in this lovingly converted 100 yo Gozo townhouse with an abundance of traditional features that will take you back in time. Just 50 metres from the Basilica of St George and its fabulously vibrant square with cafes, bars, restaurants, museums all at your doorstep.
'Magic in the Heart of Gozo' is an architect owned, 100 year-old, authentic Gozo townhouse that has been converted into three one-bedroom apartments over three floors.
The place has an abundance of traditional features: patterned hand-made floor tiles, soaring ceilings, timber beams, hand-made wrought iron railings and natural golden-stone walls that will take you back in time while you immerse yourself in the heart of this ancient vibrant town.
All apartments have been designed to be fully self-catering with all modern amenities including full kitchen (oven/hob/dishwasher), orthopaedic mattresses, independent bathroom/shower, AC throughout.
This is the top floor (penthouse) unit which occupies the entire top floor. It has an independent bedroom and separate bathroom. A sofa bed in the living area is available for additional guests.
The Penthouse shares its street entrance with just one other one-bedroom apartment making it very private, quiet and secure.
The Penthouse has its own private open verandah overlooking the ancient winding street below. It has access to two other levels of outdoor roof spaces/sundecks with views over town - one at the same level and one a floor above . These spaces are common and shared with the other single-bedroom apartment in the same building.
It also has access to a shared washing machine/dryer/ironing facilities.
Guests will be able to access all common parts of the property (entrance/ground floor lobby/ two levels of outdoor spaces/sundeck).
PLEASE NOTE: this apartment is on top floor with two flights of stairs and no elevator.

This is the second of two apartments Claude owns in the same building in Victoria and we rented both of them. The apartments are absolutely beautifully renovated with gorgeous antique tile, artful light fixtures and other touches, on a lovely street in a great location. Claude was a great communicator and host and his sister Edwina who checked us in was awesome. Highly recommended!

This house is of a very high standard providing a fantastic base from which to explore this fabulous island. The excellent facilities provide everything that you will need for a comfortable stay in a relaxing environment. All the bars and restaurants are a short stroll away, but just far enough so as not to disturb you at night. Claude is a truly excellent host. He is friendly, welcoming and helpful with nothing being too much trouble. He made the process of booking etc. easy right from start to finish. I thank him for all of his great tips and advice that greatly enriched our experience during our stay. Rarely have I come across someone with so much enthusiasm and passion for his home island. Thanks Claude. If you are thinking of staying here I would highly recommend you book early to avoid disappointment!
