Located in the rural village of Docking, the warmest of welcomes awaits you at The Old Butcher's Shop. Situated only a ten minute drive to the beautiful beach at Brancaster, this super-stylish cottage is brimming with country charm, plus the village shop and pub are within walking distance, making it a relaxing retreat whatever time of year you choose to visit.
This well-equipped, dog friendly property is perfect for the whole family, or groups of friends, to gather. With its fabulous furnishings, sumptuous style and a soft contemporary vibe throughout, this lovely self-catering holiday home, sleeping eight guests, will not disappoint.
The Old Butcher's Shop provides a very sociable space for all to enjoy, with a large sitting area featuring a wood burning stove, a large breakfast kitchen, separate dining room and four beautifully appointed bedrooms. The master double bedroom boasts an en-suite shower room, and there are three other bedrooms, a double bedroom upstairs, and two twins on the ground floor, where you'll also find a large family bathroom with separate shower. A games room off the rear garden hosts a table tennis table, meaning children will be kept amused while you mull over the day's events with a good bottle of local wine.
Sitting in the pretty village of Docking, this hideaway is perfectly located for country and coastal exploration. You can look forward to days spent at the local nature reserves, stately homes and gardens, including HM The King's country residence at Sandringham, or maybe spending the day on the various sandy beaches that make this coastline so endearing. Also close by is the uber-chic Burnham Market, with fabulous boutiques, restaurants, galleries, and antique shops.

Lovely big house, lots of space for all our family. It was beautifully furnished and accessorised and lovely garden for the dog. Very comfy, equipped with everything we might have needed.
The only downside for us was being right next to the main road. Although it was in a village this seemed to be a thoroughfare for heavy traffic from very early in the morning 5am till gone midnight. Wouldn't stop us visiting again though. The inside of the house far outweighed this.

Docking is central for easy access to a number of different beaches, all of which were beautiful.
An A road does run outside the cottage, but this didn’t disturb us as we slept in the back bedroom.
Great to have a totally safe and enclosed back garden for the dog.

Beautiful property with everything you could possibly need and more. One of the most comfortable properties we have ever stayed in. Finished to an extremely high standard and spotlessly clean. Had a wonderful week here.
