La Celeste Galeria must be the be best hidden gem of a B& B in the best hidden city in Italy! Driving to La Celeste Galeria we wondered if had made a wise decision, with trucks on the roads and huge warehouses everywhere. Don’t be put off- Mantua is one of the largest goods distribution centres in the EU but La Celeste Galeria feels like a million miles from them. Once you hit the white gravel driveway with a glimpse of the pool you know you have arrived somewhere very nice.
Veronica is a wonderful host and welcomed us, provided ample information about Mantua, how the best get into town (which is a very short drive, then park and take the free bus into the centre of Mantua). She gave us tips on where to park in Verona, as we were able to go to the opera in the roman arena and it is a short 30 minute drive. Veronica also had great stories about the Gonzagas adding colour to our sightseeing.
Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable with big windows overlooking the garden and pool. The house is decorated in a warm and eclectic style throughout. Everything was wonderful.
Breakfast was better than wonderful. Veronica’s breakfast catering is something to behold with ample food ranging from yogurt, fruit and granola to savory filled bread and croissants, to all sorts of Moorish sweet Italian breakfast treats. Good coffee too.
The pool and garden was perfect for a post sightseeing collapse.
We loved everything about Le Celeste Galeria, Mantua and Veronica and we will return to see more of the wonderful history in Mantua and enjoy a longer break at this fabulous B&B. Mantua is an undiscovered gem, not overcrowded and exceeded our expectations.

Tout est parfait, plu que parfait. La localisation, l'accueil, le confort, le jardin, la piscine, les conseils et les conversations chaleureuses, et la documentation touristique. Il y a toujours d'excellentes surprises : la décoration e la chambre, les incroyables et succulents petits déjeuners. c'est vraiment un endroit que l'on a du mal à quitter et où on espère revenir pour un séjour enchanteur.
