Villa Gala

From the moment we saw the photos of this villa, we were enchanted. Haris was very communicative after booking, and throughout our stay, offering helpful suggestions for groceries, taverns and other beaches. He also brought a basketball pump for our son mid-week. On top of this, his mother greeted us with a lasagna upon our arrival, and they left us a chocolate cake mid-week when they came to clean— well beyond any of our expectations! Haris and his family’s approach reflects how thoughtful they are, which shows all through the property: from the kitchen stocked with cleaning supplies, oils and spices to help those who want to cook, to bathrooms stocked with toilet paper and extra toiletries that might be helpful, and their beautiful outdoor spaces with plenty of beach towels, seats and lounging spots— we couldn’t have been happier. The beach was 5 min stroll and absolutely gorgeous; so close we popped back to the villa for some lunch or drinks while lounging our days away at the beach (where you can hire 2 chairs for 15 euros). We’ve stayed in a lot of rented homes across the world and this one has been one of the best. We’d recommend it to anyone, and have already sent the link to others.

The pillows were quite flat, so could do with replacing for those (like me) who don’t like them flat— but my husband had no complaints about them! I’d also echo some other reviews, which recommended bringing ear plugs for light sleepers— the beach bar nearby plays loud music into the early morning on some nights, so we found the ear plugs very helpful given our bedroom faced the beach. Our teens weren’t bothered by it at all, though.

Beautiful villa in a wonderful setting. The kitchen is well equipped with coffee maker, ice machine and everything you could possibly need. It’s only a few minutes walk to Livadi beach with its restaurants and bars. The hosts were there to welcome us (even though we arrived at 02:00) and had prepared a homemade pastitsio for us. The villa was cleaned midweek and again they left us a delicious homemade chocolate cake. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!

Absolutely stunning villa in every way. Beautifully decorated inside and out, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. We were even welcomed with thoughtful food gifts, including delicious chocolate cake! The shared pool is huge, with plenty of sunbeds and shaded areas, so it never felt crowded. We especially loved the hot tub. The location is perfect, just a short stroll to a beautiful, gentle beach and some fantastic traditional tavernas. The little land train passes by the villa, making it easy to explore all the beautiful coves and delights of the Bali area. We hired a car, and the drive from Heraklion Airport was easy and completely stress-free. Most of all, thank you from the bottom of our hearts to our wonderful hosts. Your kindness and warm welcome made our holiday even more special. Everyone we met in the area was incredibly friendly, and we left with wonderful memories. A truly special place that exceeded all our expectations. We would 100% recommend it and can't wait to return.💕

TIP:: Bring earplugs for sleeping as you can hear music from a local beach club , I had mine and did not hear a thing and slept like a princess

An excellent stay with hospitable and caring hosts. Communication was smooth and easy. In the villa, we found everything we could possibly need — from all the necessary kitchen appliances to laundry detergent.. On the day of our arrival, we were welcomed with dinner. In the middle of the week, hosts came to clean the villa and left us a very delicious cake. The villa is in a great location, with restaurants, shops, and the beach all within walking distance.
