The hosts were so great. They were right there to show the property and let us in. Small, but functional kitchen. Separate sleeping area and small bathroom. The location is great - down a small road away from the hustle of Omaha beach. The beach could be reached walking, but the streets are a little narrow for pedestrians (about 1/2 mile). The American Cemetery and Overlord museum were very close by (Overlord was the only museum we did in the area, so I can't compare, but had some very concise boards to established the days/environment prior to D Day, then many real guns/vehicles/airplane engines and other artifacts from D Day). Not 5 minutes away is a small "Creperie" - we enjoyed the pizza.
The hosts were amazing. They only spoke french (and so do I). We had a problem with car and we weren't sure what to do. It was Saturday morning. They brought me to their mechanic who looked at the car right away and provided a temporary solution so we could enjoy the rest of our stay and return safely. I was so thankful. Every night when we were home, they were quick to come open the gate and ask about our day. It felt like being with family. I would definitely return here
The bathroom door was a little difficult to use and we had some issues with the internet. The old cement farm house have a hard time transmitting wifi signals! I had a portable router that worked great. (I strongly recommend getting one - especially if you travel a lot and go someplace that charges by the connection.)

Perfect location to explore the different beaches - museums - cemeteries about the D DAY. It's also a charming "bocage normand" area, quiet and peaceful. The hosts are really nice and helpful, you will quickly make friend with this charming couple. Strongly recommend, first time i give a 10 on booking ;)
