The carriages were everything we had expected. Lyndall was very helpful and at check in then left us alone. The property was very well appointed and spotlessly clean. The outdoor spa was the highlight of our stay. The accommodation was well away from the main house ensuring complete privacy and quiet. Just the spot to unwind together. Debbie and Dave

We stayed at Carriages in December; it is a 15-minute drive from Echuca and totally worth it, if you like peace and quiet and privacy. Surrounded by vineyards, these two 1920s/30s train carriages have been lovingly restored back to their original state. The craftsmanship and the attention to detail is out of this world, giving you a real sense of the great steam train era. The standard of the accommodation is stunning; immaculately clean everywhere, kitchen kitted out with everything you could possibly need, TV, DVDs, zoned aircon, no Internet. Comfortable beds, albeit small, lots of tourist info, separate loo to the shower room. Tank water which tasted like water should taste! We loved sitting outside on the deck overlooking the dam and just watching the birdlife, sunsets and vines. This is a real get-away-from-it-all. Leave your computer at home and get back to nature! Can’t recommend this place enough.
