Inside was amazing from the wooden floor to the large bed. A large double walk in shower or roll in if you had a wheelchair had great water pressure.
There was a lot of cobwebs outside and the cabin was not what I expected as I thought we had one of the other wooden looking ones. It looked like an old shack. The pontoon was very old and stand up paddle boards were sunk. There was no one to speak to on our first night as there was meant to be bikes to hire. There was no oven even though it says to bring your own food. Bbq and hob only.

The location off the beaten track was great, the property actually ran all the way to the Murray River bank which I didn't expect. The bed was very comfortable. There were two showers that were well set up with almost instant hot water. Also in the kitchen and bathroom, instant hot water. The hot tub was always ready and up to temperature. The hosts were charming and super helpful. Everywhere was spotlessly clean.
Sadly, the nearest other cottage had a family of very noisy children and kept the TV blaring at full blast with all the doors and windows open until late. Not the fault of the hosts, of course, but spoiled the otherwise peaceful atmosphere that we had hoped for. But, never mind, there are always alternative solutions. We chose to go to the local pub in Gunbower and had an excellent meal there. Check out the Gunbower Hotel video! PS: another excellent tip from our hosts.
