.Casuccio is a lovely country house set in a small hamlet located in a peaceful angle of San Mommè, a tiny village in the cool leafy valley(550 mt asl) of the Ombrone river. It’s a perfect location for those seeking to avoid the hustle and bustle of town life . The major towns of Tuscany are all within easy reach.From the house and garden you can enjoy a stunning view of the valley and the silence of the chestnut. You can sit in the shade of ancient oak-trees surrounding the spectacular swimming pool. The large garden is adjacent to the house and it is well equipped with sun loungers, tables, chairs , a solar paneled shower , a barbecue and a practical outdoor kitchen fully equipped.The House is set on 2 floors and sleeps 2 up to 9 .First floor:large well-lit living room with open-fire, reading area,sofa,amchairs, sofabed for two people.The spacious dining room is lovingly furnished in the Tuscan style with a gorgeous open fireplace.Kitchen,one twin bedded room , 1bathroom with a bath.Second floor : large family room with king size bed+ two single beds , 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms both with shower box. The pool is open from May until September .

My family, my parents and my sister's family (9 pers. : 6 adults and 3 kids aged 10, 13, and 16) stayed in the house for 10 days in June. The house was according to the photos and description and as mentioned in previous comments very clean. The pool area and the summer kitchen outside are very nice and the view from there is incredible. Some people complained about the fact that the garden is separate from the house (you have to walk out the house from main door to access the garden), however it was not a problem at all for us. Yes you have to walk up and down the stairs if you forget something in the house but we did not feel this was an issue. We stayed outside most of the time and enjoyed the sunny days near or in the pool :) The house has 3 bedrooms with double beds (one of which has also 2 single beds) on the second floor and one on the 1st floor (3 single beds). The beds are wide and comfortable, and the rooms spacious. The kitchen is a little small but functional. there are 2 living rooms. The house remains cool even in the hot summer days. The village of San Momme is also nice. It has 2 restaurants and a bar that also works as a grocery store. It sells bread and basic food. Otherwise you have to drive down to Pistoia (20min.) for the supermarkets. From Pistioa it's easy to access the major touristic places by train or car. We visited the Cinque Terre, Lucca, Florence, Sienna, and Pisa. The hosts Maurizio and Alessandra are very nice and discrete.

We enjoyed the most wonderful week in San Momme and Alessandra and Maurizio were the perfect hosts. The village is friendly and welcoming with as nice bustle to it - and great coffee and beer - but at nighttime, the whole valley is extremely quiet and tranquil. The house itself is utterly charming, full of lovely things and very comfortable. The pool is amazing - very large and deep and with the most stunning views. The photos don't do this wonderful place justice and we would very happily return.

Very clean and big house up in the mountains. Perfect place to relax ( at the swimmingpool), for a hike or to visit Pisa, Florence, Lucca, Pistoia. The owners are friendly and helpfull. We stayed with 4 adults and 6 teenagers in the house. More than enough space.

We were a family with 3 grown-up children and a grandchild, we enjoyed our stay. Specially the swimmingpool and the outside kitchen. Alessandra and Mauricio were fantastics hosts, we loved Mauricios pizza and his cooking lesson.

Wir haben einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub bei Alessandra und Maurizio verbracht. Das Haus ist im Dorf Sammomme mit einer Bar, die auch etwas Lebensmittel verkauft. Das Haus war sehr sauber. Mauricio hat sich stets im Hintergrund gehalten, war aber stets zur Stelle bei Fragen. Die meiste Zeit haben wir am Pool verbracht mit den Vorzügen der Aussenküche. Parken kann man nicht direkt am Haus aber an einem kostenlosen Parkplatz ums Eck, was in Ordnung war. Mauricio ist ein Meister im Pizza machen, wozu er uns in den 2 Wochen Aufenthalt eingeladen hat. Das war klasse. Vielen Dank für den tollen Urlaub.

Le propriétaire habite sur place mais est très sympa, généreux (légumes de son potager, grappa ;-) ) et très discret. La maison est très bien équipée, nous n'avons manqué de rien. La vue est splendide et la localisation est parfaite pour apprécier facilement la région. Il est possible de décharger ses valises devant la maison et le reste du séjour nous avons pu bénéficier d'un parking à +/- 300m. Le séjour se situe au +1 et la piscine au -1 avec la cuisine extérieure bien équipée à proximité. Nous recommandons vivement cette villa. Merci à Mauricio pour sa gentillesse.

Min kone og jeg, samt vores venner havde en helt igennem fantastisk ferie i denne skjulte perle. Beliggende i en mindre bjerg landsby, men med mulighed for at nå Lucca, Pisa og Firenze indenfor 1½ time i bil. Bil er et "must". Vi blev mødt af værtparret Alessandra og Maurizio, som er virkelig søde og hjælpsomme. De bor i et lille hus i et hjørne af haven og de er meget opmærksomme på hvornår de skal hjælpe og hvornår de skal trække sig tilbage. Huset er i flere etager med spisestue, opholdsstue, køkken, 4 værelser og tre badeværelser. Alt i dejlig rustik italiensk stil. Vi brugte swimmingpoolen flittigt, der ligger i haven ved siden af huset. med liggestole og alt det privatliv vi kunne ønske os. Der er også et udekøkken, som vi ikke nåede at få brugt. Det gør vi næste gang, for vi vender helt sikkert tilbage. Kort sagt: Helt igennem fantastisk sted med dejlige og hjælpsomme værter. Denne skjulte perle kan klart anbefales.

Wij waren 2 weken met 2 gezinnen te gast in deze mooie, oude woning. Het is even wennen om de trappen naar beneden en weer naar boven te nemen, maar het is het waard. Mooie ruime tuin met een heerlijk zwembad, uitgerust met zit- en ligstoelen. Prima! Alessandra en Maurizio zijn er als je hen nodig hebt. Verder geniet je alle vrijheid van een vrijstaande woning. De plek is geschikt als uitvalsbasis naar alle mooie plekken die Toscane te bieden heeft! De woning is compleet ingericht en er is genoeg ruimte voor 10 personen. We were 2 weeks with 2 families to guest in this beautiful, old house. It's getting used to taking the stairs down and back up, but it's worth it. Nice spacious garden with a lovely pool, equipped with sitting and deckchairs. Fine! Alessandra and Maurizio are there if you need them. Furthermore, you enjoy all the freedom of a detached house. The place is suitable as a base to all the beautiful places that Tuscany has to offer! The house is fully equipped and there is enough space for 10 people.

Soggiorno indimenticabile rilassante e divertente soprattutto per i nostri tre bambini che hanno usufruito della piscina per tutta la settimana godendo di questo paradiso ...il posto è incantevole ,un’oasi in mezzo al verde e alla natura ...tranquillo ma soprattutto liberi di fare ...i proprietari gentilissimi e molto disponibili,consigliamo a tutti questa esperienza anche perché la casa è accogliente,funzionale visto le stanze e i bagni indipendenti adatta anche a piu’famiglie ma soprattutto molto attrezzata ...fresco e suggestivo lo spazio all’aperto...

Nous avons passé 2 très belles semaines chez Maurizio et Alessandra qui nous ont accueillis très chaleureusement. Nous avons pu découvrir de belles villes de Toscane: Florence, Pise, Luques, San Gimignano, Sienne...De belles randonnées sont egalement possibles à partir de Sammomme: au lac de Lagoni ou encore au lac de Scaffaiolo. La maison est spacieuse et bien équipée. Nous avons mangé près de la cuisine d'été à côté de la piscine qui a fait le bonheur des enfants et aussi des adultes. La rencontre avec Maurizio et Alessandra restera un très beau souvenir...Merci encore pour ces belles vacances.

Wir waren vom 14. bis 21.Juli im Ferienhaus. Haben vor allem den Pool mit Sprungbrett, die Outdoor- Küche im Schatten unter Eichenbäumen und die schöne Lage genossen. Aber auch das nette Miteinander mit dem Gastgeber und die selbst angebauten Auberginen, Zucchini und der Salat haben unseren Urlaub bereichert. Ausflüge machten wir nach Pistoia, Lucca und Florenz - jeweils auch gut mit der Bahn zu erreichen. Sammomme ist ein freundliches Dorf in den Bergen mit kleiner Pizzaria, Dorfladen und mit im Vergleich zur sommerlich heißen Ebene angenehmen Klima. Familie Trümner & Büchner (Schleswig-Holstein)

Perchée sur les hauteurs de Pistoia, cette superbe maison est idéale pour visiter la Toscane ( gare à 20 mn ) ou pour se reposer dans ce paisible village. Merci à Maurizzio pour son accueil chaleureux et sa grappa. N'oubliez pas d'aller gouter les pizza au café du village!

Nous étions 9 à avoir passé un agréable séjour dans cette maison idéalement située pour visiter Florence et ses environs. Maurizio nous a très bien accueilli. Merci encore pour votre gentillesse et.... pour la Crema ! La maison est grande, calme et bien équipée. Nous n'avons malheureusement pas pu profiter du jardin, le temps étant quelque peu frisquet cette semaine là... Nous avons rayonné à Florence, Lucca, Pise , San Giminiano, Volterra et Pistoia. Pour se rendre à Florence, nous prenions le train à Pistoia (20 min de voiture) et arrivée en gare de Florence Santa Maria Novella (à 5 min à pied du Duomo) en 45 min. Il y a des trains toutes les 1/2 environ. (env. 8,5€ aller-retour). Très pratique. Nous recommandons fortement cette location sans problème ni mauvaise surprise. Merci Alessandra et Maurizio !

nous avons passé 2 fabuleuses semaines dans ce petit village de toscane très bien situé pour visiter firenze ,lucca,pisa, siena, san giminiano sans oublier pistoia , à 10 km de la location. nous étions 10 et avons apprécié la maison , très bien pensée pour que chacun ait son intimité. les jeunes ont apprécié la piscine après les journées de visite sous un soleil brulant et les moins jeunes , la fraicheur du lieu à une altitude de 565m , donc bonnes nuits. Merci donc à Maurizio pour son fabuleux accueil, la leçon de pate à pizza suivie de la dégustation!! les petits piments , le vin doux , la grappa et les tomates du jardin. excellentes vacances donc , et endroit à recommander chaleureusement. grazie mille Maurizio !!

Grande maison familiale où chacun trouve sa place. Hôte très discret et d'une gentillesse sans faille. Au calme mais à seulement 15 minutes de Pistoia. C'est un vrai havre de paix et une adresse à retenir.

Nice, clean house with a beutiful mountain view. A big, very comfortable leaving room, where we spent our evenings, very nice outside kitchen near the pool. Ownres were very helpful ( fresh vegetables from their garden were deliciouss ).The pool was clean. We were hiking a little and we visited Florence and Pisa. The weak points of the house are : quite large distance to the nearest shop ( about 30 minuts by car ) and small kitchen ( there were two others famillies with us, so we had to cook one after another ). I recomend this house to famillies that are looking for a quiet place for italian holidays.

"We hebben een geweldige vakantie gehad in het prachtige Toscane. Het grote, mooie, typische Italiaanse huis ligt aan een rustig doodlopend straatje in het kleine dorpje SanMomme, koel gelegen in de bergen dicht bij Pistoia. Het mooie zwembad ligt in de prachtige terrasvormige tuin. Geniet van het adembenemende uitzicht! Het huis en de tuin zijn in werkelijkheid mooier dan op de foto''s. Goede uitvalbasis voor bezoek aan het mooie Toscane."

"fantastisch huis met prachtig land eromheen met weiden, een beek, groententuin en terrassen en een heel fijn zwembad. Huis is zeer comfortabel en groot en zeer rustig gelegen, er kunnen veel mensen in. Huis ligt hoog waardoor je met bijv ontbijtspullen even een paar trappen naar beneden de tuin in moet,dus niet geschikt voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn. Eigenaars zijn erg aardig en hebben voor ons fantastische pizzas gebakken, ze kwamen elke dag met verse groenten uit de tuin bij ons en waren in alles erg behulpzaam en gezellig. Alessandra spreekt goed engels. Omgeving is prachtig en dichtbij Pistoia. Er is ook een klein treintje in de buurt die je naar pistoia kan brengen, maar zelf rijden is net zo makkelijk, bleek. Verder in de buurt van allerlei heel mooie stadjes en natuur. Echt een hele fijne week gehad met vrienden met ook kleine kinderen in dit huis. Zeer aan te raden voor twee gezinnen. Drie zou ook nog kunnen."
