Welcome to our studio condo, “Somewhere in the Sun” in the Cruz Bay luxury resort, Grande Bay! Grande Bay is a 48 unit resort directly on Cruz Bay and less than a five minute walk to 'downtown' Cruz Bay with the ferry and all its restaurants, bars and shops. We have spectacular views of the water and harbor with St Thomas in the distance from the balconies. We are in the upper building within Grande Bay, providing more privacy and quiet than the lower building on the street. Use our condo as your base to explore the most beautiful island on earth..."Somewhere in the Sun"!
The Studio
Our studio is perfect for a romantic interlude for two or for a small family getaway. The moment you disembark the ferry on St. John, our on-island property managers will acquaint you to your island home.
Grande Bay Resort features a shared swimming pool and hot tub on a large sun deck, exercise room with treadmills, bikes, elliptical , and various weight equipment, free wireless internet, and 24 hour staffed reception desk and security.
The studio features a king bed in the sleeping area along with nightstands and reading lamps, chest of drawers and a flat screen tv. There is a queen size sleeper sofa in the living/sitting area, so that this unit comfortably sleeps 4. The unit has a fully equipped stainless steel and granite kitchenette with a full refrigerator, sink, microwave, and small electric appliances (coffee maker, blender, toaster, etc.) as well as a 2 burner hot plate and a 4 burner George Foreman grill and a table that sits 4. For your convenience there is also a full size washer and dryer.
Our studio comes fully equipped with high end furnishings in the Caribbean style with many personal touches. We offer a flat screen hi-def cable TV and have high speed internet . The unit is fully air-conditioned with ceiling fans.
But you most likely will just sit on the balcony and enjoy the spectacular view! We have newly installed drink rails and high back chairs for you to relax with your beverage and snacks of choice.
A safe is provided for the storage of your valuables. Beach chairs, beach towels, and coolers are available for your trips to our many beautiful beaches.
Studio units do not have guaranteed parking spaces; however, we have a one-bedroom unit next door which does have a dedicated parking space and is available to our studio guests if there is no one renting the one bedroom unit or they do not have a car. Please let us know if you need parking and we will do our best to accommodate your needs, but please remember we cannot guarantee parking.

We also have a one bedroom condo next door! For your convenience, our lock-out condo can be reserved as a two bedroom unit with a full kitchen and two bathrooms, or as a one bedroom unit with a full kitchen and one bathroom, or as a studio unit with a kitchenette and full bathroom. What To Do!
From the resort, you can walk/ hike to two of the most beautiful beaches, Solomon and Honeymoon, in 30 minutes along the National Park Service trail through the woods. Or enjoy a new solar -powered golf cart shuttle service that will pick you up at Caneel Bay Resort and bring you to Honeymoon Beach, where you will find food, drinks, and rentals that include chairs, kayaks and paddle boards. Or rent a car or take a readily available taxi to explore the North Shore beaches -- some of the very best in the world. In ten minutes you will be at Hawksnest, and then Oppenheimer, Trunk Bay, Cinnamon Bay, Maho Bay all within the National Park,and all just as beautiful post-hurricane. Beach towels, chairs and coolers are provided with the unit, so pack a lunch and make it a day. After a day at the beach, relax pool side or sit in the hot tub and soak in the view. You might be inspired to work out in the resort fitness center with the best views imaginable. There are treadmills, elipticals, bikes, weights, and a pilates machine available. In the evening, walk to one of the many bars or restaurants in town, or just sit on the balcony again and watch the sun set as you eat your dinner (take-out is available!)

This is an awesome unit and very adequate for our stay! We love to stay at Grande Bay because location is amazing. Close to everything. Easy walk to restaurants, shopping and taxis if you don’t have a jeep. The unit does only have a kitchenette . There is a microwave oven but only a hot plate for cooking. We were able to cook breakfast and make sandwiches for the beach. Overall we were extremely happy with our stay.

This spot was in the perfect location for a quick walk to town and all of the fun at Carnival!! The place was clean and easy to check in and out. There was even a locker in the garage with beach chairs and accessories that came in handy for our beach days! Communication with the manager was prompt and effective when we had a small AC leak issue. Would 100% stay again and can’t wait to come back
