About this house rental
Are you interested in a peaceful place with fabulous views to retreat to after the bustle of the city? Great location near Esquimalt Lagoon and Royal Bay seaside parks, Pearson College of the Pacific, Royal Roads University, Galloping Goose hiking and biking trail, as well as many shopping opportunities from box stores to quaint neighbourhood bistros. Downtown Victoria is accessible by bus or car in an easy 30 minute drive and the bus stop is a short walk away. Many sports opportunities are available from fishing (lake or ocean), golfing (Royal Colwood and Olympic View Golf Clubs are 5 minutes away, Highland Pacific and Bear Mountain Golf Resort are 15 minutes away), as well as hiking and biking. The community is home to many Canadian sports development centres - tennis, golf, rugby, biking, rowing to name a few.
All the comforts of home are available with a well equipped kitchen with BBQ available, as well as washer and dryer and dishwasher, cable TV and a dedicated study area for any school or work related commitments. Bright sunny rooms with 9 foot ceilings and expansive windows give a marvelous view over the water to Victoria. Please no smoking and no pets in the suite or on the premises.

Loved our stay at this apartment. It is huge. Great kitchen, laundry, and living space. Beautiful view. It is about a 30 minute drive into Victoria but can be a bit longer coming home in the afternoon. I would highly recommend this apartment and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Very large space super clean, everything you need is supplied. Soaps, coffee, laundry soap. The mornings are very bright as there are no curtains, but that view...stunning! The large bed was super soft to sleep on. The smaller one was not. Could not have asked for a better host, amazing communication! I wish we could have stayed longer.

The property is located in the downstairs part of a lovely house on the mountain. If you arrive at night, be prepared to haul your luggage down wooden stairs into a dark backyard. The place is very clean, well-kept and welcoming once inside. The second bedroom is very small. The mattress in the master bedroom is not great; my hubby ended up sleeping on the couch due to the discomfort. There are no curtains in the living room or kitchen, which accentuates the views but in the morning, the sun blazes in and really heats the place up. There's no air conditioning, and the standing fans do little to cool the place down. It also means that the gardener can see you in your pjs as you are getting your morning coffee, which happened on the second morning. My biggest complaint is the wolf spiders. They seemed to be mostly in the bathroom and living room. We trapped and released at least 5 over our 4 night stay; the last one was on my towel the morning we were checking out. I couldn't wait to leave!
