About this house rental
This lovely home with its large porch, swing, chairs and tables is located behind the landlord's home on their five acre property in beautiful Lake County Florida. Large Oaks provide shade for the porch. Its location makes it a very safe and secure vacation destination and the home itself is very welcoming and comfortable.
The dining room and kitchen have original heart pine floors, the living room, master bedroom and upstairs are carpeted.
The master bedroom and bath are on the main floor. The queen size bed is framed by large curtained windows which give the room the aura of a romantic hideaway. You can curl up with a good book in the bedroom's very comfortable chair and ottoman . There is a large walk-in closet and a large wicker chest of drawers. The master bath has a tub with shower, vanity and linen cabinet.
The living room has a comfortable couch, two over sized chairs, along with a flat screen tv, coffee table, etc.
The dining area is lined with French door/windows with a tranquil country view. The round table and four chairs are attractive and comfortable. A table leaf is located in the storage area under the stairs in the kitchen next to the stack washer/dryer.
The kitchen is large and filled with light from two large windows that overlook the grounds. There is lots of cupboard space and the kitchen is well stocked with dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils and pots and pans. If you require special items for meal preparation, we will make every effort to provide them.
The upstairs loft contains two separate sleeping areas, two large closets, and a small bathroom with shower, vanity and toilet. There are two twin beds on one side of a dividing wall and a queen bed on the other. There is WiFi throughout the house. TV is accessed by a firestick plus Netflix and Amazon Prime provided by the landlord.
Gas grills and charcoal grills are available for use by our guests as well as a separate firepit area.

The cottage is adorable and sufficiently furnished for an extended stay. Kathy and her dad are both super nice and helpful, and their dogs (Ollie, Lulu, and Daisy) are all very welcoming. The location was perfect and so quiet. We intend to make the same trip next year and hope to stay there again.

Very comfortable, quiet and cozy. Stayed there while working and it suited our needs perfectly! Owners went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. Owners are super nice people and this is a great property that makes you feel you are at home.

The whole experience was delightful. The owners offered
to provide anything we needed ( a grill). They were always available but not intrusive. We had a great week.

This is a sweet little farmhouse that lives so easy….plenty of space for the 2 of us -didn’t need the upstairs bedrooms or bath. The kitchen is well supplied with cooking needs ….and if you don’t have a specific tool or pot Kathy will provide it!!
It’s an old farmhouse -circa 1939 -and lovingly cared for. While it sits “in the country” we were less than 10 minutes from Publix, Lowe’s and Walmart…..
We particularly loved the front porch!! It was a easy stress free 3 weeks for us. Thanks Kathy and Jim!
