Oasis of peace in Auvers sur Oise

The hostess was very friendly and the room was quaint and comfortable. Itbis very quiet with a lovely view of the lake. You can hear the frogs croak and the birds simg in this oasis in the middle of Auvers sur Oise. Close enough to the Van Gogh highlights too. Highly recommended

Fabulous one-night stay - just wish it had been longer!

We loved our stay at this property! Camille was the most fantastic host and made us feel so welcome. The property is in an idyllic setting on a private lake. There is a lovely terrace beside the lake where we enjoyed a picnic dinner from the local boulangerie, since on the night of our stay (a Sunday) all the village restaurants were closed for various reasons. (It turned out well for us as we surely had the most exquisite dining location in all of Auvers!) We loved the quietness of the property and its proximity to the village - just a 10-minute, very pleasant walk. The location is also very convenient for Paris CDG airport. The room was absolutely charming and very comfortable, with views of the garden and lake, and it even had its own little patio with bistro table and chairs, and deck chairs. We also loved the fact that the room had a well-equipped kitchenette, and we appreciated touches like butter and jam in the fridge, fresh eggs and plenty of tea and coffee.

Nice calm stay in Auvers-sur-Oise

Location nearby the lake in a small quiet town was great. After we arrived, in the evening we had a walk by the river towards the cemetery of Vincent/Theo tomb. Unaware about the way, we just headed by the lake and through the little door to the small path. There was a little boy running from the house, shouting "Bon jour, bon jour!!!" And we had a little chat with him. :-) We had a wonderful dinner at 'Le Relais des Peintres'. Little pricy but worth the money. Nearby Pontoise was a starting location for our train/metro trip into Paris. A covered garage on the railway station was easy to reach and 40 minutes ride to Paris Nord was pleasant enough.

An absolute pleasure to stay here!!!

Could not have asked for better hosts. They were super friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The location was beautiful, peaceful , comfortable, clean, and convenient to everything we wanted to see. My only regret was not having more time to enjoy the lakefront yard and spend more time with Camille and Henri.

My only recommendation would be to not take the train to the Auvers-sur-oise station, service was interrupted and it was a headache. Just go to the Mery-sur-oise station instead.

The place that inspires

I highly recommend this property for a long-term vacation. We didn't get to enjoy the full beauty of the area, so we would happily go back again. I would like to note that the accommodation is very clean, warm, has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is decorated very stylishly with elements of vintage items. The garden and the surrounding area fascinates and soothes. The owner of the property was kind and helped us with everything we needed. Great experience!

A beautiful peaceful setting - a hidden gem.

Idyllic, peaceful oasis, right at the heart of Van Gogh's final days and resting place. The Studio had all we could wish for including the basics for breakfast, this was much appreciated- Thank you. Henri and Camille were most helpful and kept us informed of entry/buses etc -you have a lovely home. We waited 3 years (booked 3years ago ,but cancelled due to Covid) it did not disappoint. Thank you and all the best.

The perfect get-away near Paris

Everything about the house by the lake is perfect. The studio is adjacent to the owners house but very private, sharing a huge lawn overlooking the lake. Plenty of outside space to chill, and the studio itself is very cozy. Warm welcome by the owners. There is a wonderful path along the river which takes you into the heart of town in under 10min.

Cette maison est un havre de paix sur un lac .Lamartine est certainement passé par là. « Oh temps suspend ton vol »… Logement spacieux très propre, totalement indépendant, très bien équipé et confortable ( toilette et sdb indépendantes) décoré avec soin.

Superdagen op een superlocatie.

Voor de eerste nacht heerlijke jam, eitjes, boter en beschuitjes. Prachtige locatie aan het meer en super bed.

Le logement était parfait. L'accueil était très chaleureux et convivial. Les petites déjeuners et diner sur la terrasse face au petit lac étaient très doux. Grand respect de l'intimité de la part des hôtes.

La maison du lac est une magnifique demeure, proche du centre d'Auvers et en même temps au calme absolu. Le cadre est idyllique et les propriétaires sont très aimables. A recommander sans aucune hésitation.

Une pause au calme à refaire sans hésiter

Le logement est très bien tenu, propre et agréable. Avec son superbe jardin, sa terrasse, son magnifique plan d'eau, notre séjour a été un enchantement. Et un petit coucou à l'adorable Bandit, le chien de la maison <3 A 10-15 minutes à pieds du logement on trouve de bonnes adresses pour manger.
