Great facility but the animal policy should be reviewed

The location of the place is great - just 5 min drive from Durbuy, the chalet is located in the quiet tourist complex, it is very peaceful. You are surrounded by nature, there is a garden and all you need to have BBQ on the premises. Very easy to collect the keys and there is a garage for your car, so you do not have to worry about parking. Kitchen is well-equipped. Supermarkets are 10 min drive away.

Unfortunately, have to give a lower score, as the property is not so clean. The owners allow pets (and we do not mind at all) but it is not permitted to take pets into bedrooms (great policy). However, our master bedroom had such heavy dog smell inside (and I repeat, we do not mind pets), we had to sleep both nights with windows open and try to keep them open during the day. Blankets also smelled like dogs, so was not possible to use them. Meaning - the policy of not bringing animals into the bed is ignored by other people. There were no towels or clean bed sheets provided, so it would be great, if this is mentioned in the description that you have to bring your own (it is written in the house manual but not on booking.com) Thankfully, there is Carrefour nearby, where we could buy towels.

Gîte cosy, bien situé près de Durbuy, avec un jardin parfait pour le chien.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce logement idéalement situé, à deux pas de Durbuy et entouré de magnifiques sentiers de randonnée. Le jardin clôturé à l’arrière était parfait pour notre chien, qui a pu en profiter en toute sécurité. La cuisine est très bien équipée, avec tous les ustensiles nécessaires pour cuisiner comme à la maison. Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié le feu de bois qui apportait une ambiance chaleureuse, ainsi que la décoration cosy qui rend le lieu très accueillant. Un vrai petit havre de paix !

Petit bémol toutefois : le logement est décrit comme "animal friendly", mais certaines règles spécifiques concernant les chiens (pas sur le canapé, pas dans les chambres ni dans la salle de bain) ne sont communiquées qu’après la réservation. Même si certaines règles sont compréhensibles, il serait plus transparent de les mentionner clairement dans l’annonce, afin que chacun puisse réserver en toute connaissance de cause.
