A real treat

The situation is amazing. To have such extensive outdoor space was a treat with beautiful views from all round. Inside was comfortable and the air con was very welcome after climbing the steps! There were a few little things that needed to be sorted out as we were the first in for the season and the hosts were responsive and so helpful.

Sadly a great disappointment. La BouganVilla SHOULD BE a beautiful place.

First impression, the owner points out in correspondence that owing to the steep 124 steps up to the house, “backpacks are preferable to suitcases” the owner states. So to arrive in the summer heat and find not even the most basics of water in the empty fridge.

No Air conditioning, other than in the Bedrooms A kitchen out of the 1970’s. A staircase that was so steep you had to do one step at a time whilst holding the rope, I’m no elderly person, I run marathons. Nespresso coffee machine supplied - But NO capsules, were we meant to bring them in our recommended “back packs”. Never found any capsules in the shops. NO Beach Towels - Even a couple of old towels would have allowed us to go to the beach, again for overseas travellers or anyone climbing to the House, bringing beach towels is not practical. NO Sun beds - Such a beautiful outside terrace, yet only 4 deck chairs. Bedding - A little old and the bedrooms had an old musty smell.

View was amazing

The stairs to reach the view were significant. We want to share that we observed there appeared to be a broken sewerage pipe in the public pathways near the houses up near us. We observed toilet paper and other matter on the public pathways where many tourists were walking from the fort and San Lorenzo church in the community near our house. We suggest the local community investigate this.

A quaint, cottage giving the feeling of being in a unique space in a unique coastal town.

Magnificent outdoor space with breathtaking views. Perfect for sipping wine and munching on bread, cheese and the delicious local Pesto.

The pictures show two single beds in one of the bedrooms when in fact, there is one large bed. Please update the pictures.

Vues magnifiques sur la baie de Porto Venere et sur le village Maison bien décorée et équipée Grand jardin magnifique et ombragé Très beau village ( attention : beaucoup de marches à monter !) Vous pouvez vous baigner en bas de la maison sur les rochers, ou à la plage publique à 1km

Pas de volet au rdc donc réveils très tôt pour ceux qui dorment dans le canapé lit Ravitaillement : 1 petit supermarché dans le village en bas Difficultés de stationnement dans le village
