Comfortable, relaxing & peaceful stay

Bernard the host was very welcoming and accommodating. He was friendly, approachable and couldn't have done more. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and our room was comfortable and just perfect for our stay. The breakfast supplied was plentiful and there was a good choice. We loved the beautiful peaceful location and it was easy to access shops/restaurants in Buncrana by car.

A Gem, A Pleasure, A Boon!

The host was fantastic. Very accommodating and very approachable. Nothing was too much trouble to ask of him. The accommodation itself is incredible. It has a real homely feel and the room we had was massive. Comfy beds and the place was always kept at a comfy temperature. We couldnt have wished for better. We will be back, the sooner the better. It was a real pleasure to spend three nights here and get acquainted with the terrific owner/ host.

Bernard, the host, is delightful, warm and welcoming. We really enjoyed talking with him, and hearing his answers to all our questions. Our room and bathroom was large and comfortable. Everything was super clean. The location on Inch island provided an unexpected opportunity to view the migrating birds and swans on a walk around the lake. So glad we found this lovely place for our 3 night stay.

Bernard provides a self serve breakfast with lots of different fruits and cereals, coffee, teas and juices. There is white bread for toasting and since our preference is for whole wheat bread, we brought our own or some bakery scones to substitute.

Bernard is a great host, friendly and informative, made us very welcome. beautiful house in lovely surroundings on inch island. as a motorcyclist it was a great location for touring either the inishowen or fanad penninsulas and beyond. comfortable bed, netflix was a bonus......highly recommended and know doubt we will stay in the future.

The home is very cozy and clean, and our room was extremely comfortable - we got a great night's sleep and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the morning. Bernard was very welcoming, accommodated our need for a late check-in and provided a lot of useful information on what to do along our way. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Absolutely great!

The stay at Grangeview House was extraordinary! Bernard is a wonderful host and is always there if you need something, or just for a quick chat. The rich breakfast is free, which is a huge bonus and - obviously - you are on Inch Island, which is a wonderful place to be. We'll definitely be visiting again!

A Great Place to Stay in Northern Ireland

Bernard was a gracious host who made our stay special. We arrived, and he immediately helped us settle in and provided us with ideas on visiting Belfast and the surrounding region, especially since we were there for the British Open. He made a good suggestion on route planning to see the Giant's Causeway. Ironically, he used to work and live in our region in his early youth and worked in pubs in Philadelphia, so we had some good stories and a bond. We also washed our clother midway through the trip which was a major help. Many thanks for the stay!!

Grangeview House

We loved the location of the house, it is in an area of outstanding natural beauty. We walked the 8k path around the nature reserve and were delighted to see for the 1st time a beautiful black Swan, a Coot, a Crane and a hawk. At the end of our walk we had food and coffee's in Spill the Beans cafe where the staff were absolutely lovely. We used the house over the weekend as a base and travelled to Buncrana, Lisfannon Beach, Dunree and Clonmany for the festival. Bernard our host was a lovely person and very knowledgeable about the area. We had a great weekend.

A great getaway spot to rest and recharge.

The property is absolutely beautiful and the host Bernard is the kindest man who welcomed us with open arms. It's the perfect location to get some peace and quiet but still being close to bigger towns and other sightseeing spots. The breakfast is simple but has everything needed and since it's self-serving you can also eat at whatever time suits you rather than having to wake up extra early to eat.

We had a lovely stay at Bernard’s home on Inch Island. A host that is dedicated to informing his guests about any touristic topic you can think of and making our stay as pleasant as possible.

A gem of a place.

Bernard's welcome, a warm and informative chat before showing us round. A large, comfortable ensuite bedroom and self-service free breakfast. The location - Inch Island is now a nature conservation area and farmed accordingly, and has well-maintained walking paths, bird-watching and a great coffee-shop.

Great valiue, beautiful house, considerate host.

We assumed when we booked the larger pink room that they used a wide angle lens to make it look better. They did not. It's huge! So much storage space and room to spread out. Meticulously clean with thoughtful kitchen stocked with generous breakfast goodies and fresh fruit from the garden. The house is full of gorgeous photographs, handmade ships, and pretty poppy decor. The garden and koi pond were lovely. Our host Bernard was considerate, helpful, and entertaining. He always went above and beyond. Inch Island and the surrounding area were also fun to explore. It's also not far from Northern Ireland sights, such as Giant's Causeway and Derry.

Everything was great. Maybe the only thing that might have helped was blinds on the second window to block that pesky Irish sunlight at 10 pm in the summer but I can't think of much else.

Best place to stay if you are in Donegal

Grangeview House is an incredible accommodation. Comfortable beds, great bathroom and a lovely kitchen filled with fresh strawberries, fresh from the garden and a large selection of breakfast items and snacks. Bernard is the perfect host, welcoming and patient. We had questions, curiosities and he answered all of them and more. His knowledge of the area is incredible!

Definitely recommend for a perfect peaceful staycation.

Grangeview house is absolutely beautiful and so well looked after. The rooms are immaculate and have everything you need - even the bathrooms. Breakfast included is just the icing on the cake! There is even different maps for the island and surrounding areas and what sights to see/places to visit. Bernard is the best host we have come across, so friendly and knowledgeable about the area and where to visit according to your interests. Right down to knowing the best wee local coffee shop and takeaways. Thank you for having us, we will definitely be back and have recommended to family and friends also.

Amazing and comfortable stay, very clean. Able to use kitchen facilities, good continental breakfast included. Was able to do a wash at the facility that helped with limited amount of clothes for this trip. Very nice and knowledgeable host. Words can’t express the feeling of staying here.

By far, the best B&B we have ever stayed in. It’s not the location or the rooms. It’s the host that made our stay special. Bernard was absolutely the best guide to go around Inishowen. All the places he recommended were the best. If you ever want to have long conversations, pop into the living room in the evening and sit down for a chat. He loves having people around and talking to them. Bernard made it feel more like home rather than a B&B
