It is a nice place to stay for a while

Mels accomodation is located in the center of the town not far from Donegal museum. The accomodation is very clean and tidy. The stuff is nice and helpful. Breakfast wasn't included as advertised.

1. The ad states there is on-site free parking bur this is not true. I also couldn't find this accomodation right away. My advice is to go straight to Donegal museum to get there. There is a nice big and cheep (1,50 Euro/day) car park there. 2. It was hard to sleep at night because the house is located on a busy street and the windows are very old with poor soundproofing.

Cozy room in downtown Letterkenny with a delightful host

Great cozy location in the city center. My room had a sink and the shared bathroom was across the hall but no issues. Lovely water pressure & temperature! I used the kitchen & dining room in the mornings (instant coffee & tea available) and was pleased with the secure private parking space. Mel is a delight, and I really felt at home.

The entrance is on a one-way street, so you have to be aware of where to park and how to unload, but it was no problem really.

Great location, along the main area in Letterkenny. Close to shopping and restaurants. On street parking outside the property (paid during the day but free overnight). Welcoming host, effective communication and extensive information about the property and town.

Whole stay was great, done everything I wanted to do and a little more. Letterkenny is a great little Town, and has everything you need, that serves as a gateway to Donegal.

Great for budget travellers but lacks refinement.

Located at the top of the high street, within easy walking distance to pubs and eateries. Mel allowed take out food to be consumed on the premises. Cheap for location. Was able to get an early start, as not restricted by breakfast ( not included)

Single bed room was a box room, only a hanger on the back of the door because of limited space. Wish I had paid a little extra for bigger room. No dedicated secure parking, but Mel allowed me to park my motorbike outside the back gate, but was in view of main street.

absolutely disgrace!! so we come from UK my phone have no internet while enter Ireland and we book this bnb for a night stay because our friends wedding near by. however we arrived late at the night after the wedding finish(we drove straight to the hotel from uk)so we haven’t go this bnb first. however when we finish our friends wedding at night we rang the landlord and she reject to let us stay although i PAID the FULL price.she said she was sleep and she wouldn’t open door for us because us arrived too late!!? How dare?!!and we polite ask she to do a refund so we can book another hotel cuz we have no where to stay tonight!!! and she said she can’t help then hang up the phone!!!my and my hubby have to go another hotel spent almost £200 for a night to stay because of it!! Totally disgrace and please be aware this property. we never received any services and the landlord reject to refund at all.

No ensuite had to share bathroom with other guests..room on road front was very noisy although Mel did mention it would be on a Saturday night. Also walls need insulating as could hear guests talking pm and snoring in adjacent room !
