The location of the house in the town of Belmonte is fantastic, close to restaurants and amenities, after dark there was a fascinating view to the lights of neighboring towns in the distance.
We happened to like this but a cafe is located in the same building and the parish church is literally next door, for some people this might be too busy, but for us it enriched our stay and visit in Belmonte.

The place is very well located, in the center of the village near to the castle and the museums. It is a typical Portuguese house, with all the furniture and stile from the previous century. Every afternoon the owner came to make fire, what was amazing, we really enjoyed to spend some time in front of it.
The church just next to the house is a bit noise, its bells rings quite often early in the morning. The downstairs bathroom was a bit smelly.

we booked 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms but there was only one bathroom. our bed was very creaky, which woke us up every time one of us turned or got up.
