Struttura nuova, molto pulita, le istruzioni per trovare l’appartamento sono state chiare. L’appartamento dista del centro 10 minuti, c’è anche una spiaggia vicino a casa ma la più bella dista 10 minuti neanche di macchina. L’appartamento è in un punto strategico, perché ha vicini anche piccoli supermercati dove prendere giusto qualcosa se manca.

Appartamento piccolo, la cucina aveva l’essenziale, c’era la cappa ma non funzionava ed essendo un monolocale gli odori rimanevano tutti dentro. Le tapparelle non chiudevano del tutto ed era un po fastidioso la mattina, ci sono state un paio di serate ventose e sembrava di avere la bufera in camera forse perché gli infissi non erano molto spessi. In bagno mancavano i ganci per le asciugamani, la parte peggiore è stata il letto, se così si può chiamare, la struttura stile giapponese era quasi a terra, il materasso era alto giusto un paio di centimetri, a fine soggiorno ci faceva male la schiena. Considero che l’appartamento fosse davvero troppo piccolo terrazzino compreso che non abbiamo mai usato perché non ci si riesce neanche a sedere fuori in 2, abbiamo usato le sedie come stendino perché non c’era niente altro per stendere le cose del mare.

Jako ljubazni domaćini, expresno odgovore na sve zahtjeve ( nije da smo bili nešto zahtjevni, bar se nadam), klima je radila odlično unatoč toplotnom udaru tih dana dok smo boravili, mir, tišina, komunikacija sa domaćinima izuzetna, zelenila uokolo ima još nije sve betonizirano. Kuhinjica dobro opremljena, sa dovoljno posuđa, stednjak i hladnjak rade besprijekorno, kuhalo za vodu je već upitno. Apartman je čist uredan, mirišljav, sve djeluje novo 🙂

Nema dovoljno kvaka u kupatilu za okačiti ručnike, jako bučan vodokotlić wc-šolja, naprosto te prepadne ko mala explozija...i poprska vodu uokolo...tak da treba prvo poklopiti pa pustiti vodu. Nedostaje vješalica za odložiti odjeću, a fali prostora za putne kofere. Kuhalo za vodu je već dotrajalo, kalcificirao, kamenca je bilo na pretek, 4 puta smo prokuhavali vodu sa sodom bikarbonom da bi ga se koliko toliko rješili, malog plastičnog filterića (cjetke) nema nikako, uglavnom ja sam takve kući nosio na otpad... Balkon je malešan i nema nikakvog štrika ili rasklapajućeg sušila za osušiti kupaće i ručnike sa plaže. Parking uokolo objekta nije baš uređen, fali tu hlada, a čini se i prostora... Sve u svemu...ima prostora za napredak i da bude još bolje. ..🙂 Ali unatoč svemu (sitnim) nedostatcima, uzevši širi dojam u obzir, relativnu blizinu plaže, besplatan i gotovo uvijek mogući parking, ne prevelikoj gužvi, mogućnosti da uhvatite komadić hladovine bez da tegarite mobilne suncobrane sa sobom, besplatan tuš na plaži... omjer kvalitete i cijene je optimalan 🙂

My husband, our six-year-old daughter, and I booked the 'orange' apartment (on the 2. level) for 8 days/7 nights because of its appearance, sea view, and air conditioning (AC). The view from the apartment is beautiful, especially at sunset, which is stunning. The apartment is quite close to the beach, with the nearest one around 800m away. The furniture is of good quality and looks brand new. The bathroom is comfortable (except for the sink) and looks nice. There are four small grocery stores near the apartment, but unfortunately, they are quite expensive given the limited variety and quality of their products. There is a small pizzeria called Pizzicato nearby, and their wood-fired pizzas are indeed unforgettable. The view of the mountains from the main beach of Gornji Karin is amazing. However, the water is clear during the mornings only (in the afternoon, it looks muddy), and, unfortunately, there is always grass in the water. The apartment is smaller than it appears in the photos (and indicated), and it has some downsides: The 'bedroom' is actually the anteroom of the apartment. The 'soundproofing' does not exist; when the neighbours talk or take a shower, it sounds like they are in your apartment. There is enough storage space in the bedroom, but the bed is too short (recommended for people under 175 cm). The poor-quality TV is behind the door (!) with very few channels. The fridge is tiny and in the worst possible place (it cannot be opened because of the chair at the table); it is of poor quality and not a built-in type, which causes it to ice up continuously. The stove is slow and small and unable to cook anything properly, but there are limited places to eat nearby. There is a plug (the only one) above the stove! Overall, everything could be acceptable if the host were friendlier (see the happenings below)!

This was the worst experience we have ever had with a host (Lucija), although we have travelled around the world for almost 30 years (from Japan to Mexico) and visited Croatia dozens of times (from Zambratija to Dubrovnik). Additionally, we were superhosts for many years (running luxury apartments) in Budapest Downtown. Almost no amenities were prepared (3 people/8 days): 1 trash bag, 2 toilet paper (+1 after several requests), very little liquid soap (1,5 cm in the container), and no refills at all. There was no hairdryer, iron, mop, toaster, microwave, or mosquito net at all, and the kitchen was very poorly equipped (e.g. limited dinner sets and dishes). We only became aware of the house rules upon arrival (the host did not inform us in advance about these, nor were they included in the apartment's T&C on Booking.com!), which stipulate that you must turn the AC off when you are out. However, the apartment gets hot in the meantime! We suffer from the lack of fresh air and the high temperature in the flat, which is why we chose this apartment with no restrictions on AC usage (in theory)! We informed Lucija, but she entered the flat to switch it off without warning, except for the written house rules. Why should the AC be stopped?! It is designed for continuous operation, and the frequent on-off switching causes unstable operation with lots of peaks due to the need for the highest fan speed and lowest temperature to maintain the same indoor temperature as before. Because the rules said so! This way of AC-running is disadvantageous from an economic viewpoint and shortens its operational life. If she were green, it would be better to let AC run stably and move its outdoor part where it can get fresh air rather than hiding it behind the wall and using only the hot air that comes from its own operation. We have never experienced such unfriendliness!
