Cabin, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible beds (4), 3.5 Baths (Sleeps 8-10 people)

Come play or relax in this large and beautifully-decorated home. House is located on a private street with lots of trees, sitting on the 4th fairway of the golf course, and less than 1 mile from the Country Club. This 3600 hundred square-foot home is located in Pine Mountain Lake, a gated community.
All bedrooms are supplied with bed warming mattress pads which are wonderful in the winter on very cold nights.

The gourmet kitchen is completely stocked with all amenities and opens into the Great Room with a sit down bar.

Within the gates you can golf, horse back ride, swim, paddle boat or fish. The marina has a very large sandy beach with volleyball, boating and snack shack.

The town of Groveland provides all the necessary amenities - grocery store, restaurants, and shops. This house is a great base doe many day trips as: Yosemite, Lake Don Pedro, Columbia State Park, Tuolumne Meadows and Gold Country mining towns such as James Town and Sonora, where there are lots of shops and restaurants.
Yosemite and HetchHetchy have many hiking and biking trails.

In the winter skiing is available at either Dodge Ridge (about 1 hour drive), Bear Valley ( around a 2 hour drive) or Badger Pass ski located in Yosemite Park (around 2 hours) The outdoor ice skating rink in Yosemite is great fun as well.

Perfect house for a large family or group of friends. Very spacious house, great kitchen and living room with the most comfortable sofa, 2 master bedrooms and 2 bedrooms of very decent size. We walk to Dunn's beach every morning for an early morning swim, the beach is 30 min walk or 4 min by car. Great location, great everything.

Another wonderful day at Fred’s house. Howard is always extremely helpful. House is perfect for our group. That’s why we stay there every year. Big clean and well stocked of course we will be back next year.

The outside is showing some age. Everything was great on the interior. We love the view from the deck and watching the wild shots by the golfers. Howard was great about getting the bbq working and providing fuel. Fred was great about staying in touch if we had any questions.

This house is even larger than what the picture show. It was perfect for our two families to share…two master bedrooms plus 2 bedrooms with multiple beds. A huge living space plus loft with foosball and air hockey. The kitchen was expansive and fully stocked. It was a great location to visit Yosemite and the goldcountry.

We had a great Thanksgiving week at Uncle Fred's Cabin. The house is spacious and clean and has lovely views of the golf course and mountains. It is walkable to the Grill and golf course, pickleball courts. Fred and his concierge, Howard, were very helpful and quick to respond when we had a small issue with the front door lock. Would definitely stay here again.

We have been renting this house every summer for many years, it is the most comfortable house we have stayed at. The kitchen and common living room are very spacious, all four bedrooms are great size, the house has the best layout possible. The host is very easy to work with.

We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, the view of the golf course, the mornings on the deck watching the woodpeckers in the oak trees, the buck, with the largest antlers, hanging out in the trees by the side of the house, and the 3 dozen turkeys methodically combing the grass for grubs. Beautiful, homely cabin - large & well stocked. Very well maintained. Being in the midst of a lush/ green golf course was a wonderful feeling. One of our friends went early in the morning to play golf & was delighted with his experience. A bit far from Yosemite National Park but we were aware of it. The property manager was not available when we tried to reach him a couple of times but the property owner more than made up & was very accessible. Thank you for the stay in your beautiful cabin. Weather was perfect with not a lot of people at the lake and playing golf. Golf course in best ever condition and we were done in 4 hours. Lake and snack bar was fantastic!!

Great location, large home, nice amenities (pool, tennis , Pickleball) beautiful golf course, lovely views. House has some deferred maintenance, golf ball netting, upstairs futon bed mattress sagging and uncomfortable. Gate fee of $46 per vehicle is irritating… as we had 8 family members arrive in 5 vehicles, thus $230 to enter community. OUCH!

The house was perfect to accommodate 4 couples. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked, which allowed our travel group to cook and dine together. I really enjoyed seeing the deer and wild turkeys each day.

This house is wonderful. Plenty of space for everyone. Beautiful views. Great location. The kitchen was fully stocked. The bedrooms were spacious. The kids loved the air hockey table. The owner and property manager were both helpful and attentive. I only wish that we got to stay a lot longer.

Check in process was really stressful -- owner would not provide access code and told us to call the cleaner/concierge Howard the day ofwhen I called, it went straight to voicemail all afternoon for both owner and concierge. I sent a message on VRBO, texted and called and left a voicemail for both owner and concierge. Luckily we did not arrive at 4pm when check in is allowed, as no one got back to me until at least 4:30pm to give us the access code to the property. Communication was extremely poor on that first day. HOWEVER, from there on out, Howard and his wife were extremely responsive and kind -- bringing extra towels and dishwasher detergents when needed, and fixing access to direct TV when it stopped working all of a sudden. The house is big, and the living room has a super high ceiling, overlooking the golf course. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and cooking utensils, though the knives were very blunt and hard to cut with -- consider providing a knife sharpener if the set is not replaced. Of note, sheets were not placed on the beds when we arrived and we had to do that ourselves for every bed. The internet was advertised as 250+ mps and a family member needed to work from the house one day and speed extremely slow (when did a speed test, was 5mps). The owner has since changed the listing to 25mps instead. The HOA pool was great fun! It was about 1.5hr to the valley but still pretty easy access to Yosemite National Park. We had fun!

We highly recommend this house as one of the best we had on our Southern California road trip. The spacious open plan was ideal for our 2 families (10 people). Everything was spotlessly clean and it was amazing to spend time on the deck overlooking the golf course, enjoying the sunrises or watching the deer below on the lawn. Our teenage kids enjoyed the air hockey in the games room. Amazing host. Always responded quickly. This stay exceeded our expectations!

This home was near perfect for our needs. Eight adults (father/son) golf getaway. Golf course was immaculate, nearby restaurants we’re good, Iron Door Saloon was fun. Yes, the furniture was dated, some of the window coverings need replaced. But size and location were spot on.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was huge and very well stocked. The kitchen had everything we could think of without being overly crowded. He was quick to respond when we were missing an item. Kids loved the foosball and air hockey tables. Be prepared for a very steep descent onto the driveway. BBQ needs to be replaced. Nice views of the golf course we saw deer, geese, and roosters. Great back deck with awning.

We have been renting this house almost every year for the last 15 years. We love everything about it - the location, the layout, all the space, kitchen is super comfortable and well stocked. There is plenty of space for a large family or group of friends, all bedrooms are spaceous, the house is very well maintained. Location is great, we walk to Dunn's beach for the morning swim - it is 1.6 mies from the house and is a beautiful walk.

This is great place to stay with 3-4 couples. Loved seeing the deer every day/night and no sirens all day or night. Couple of small issues: driveway is very narrow and have to back down it with all cars; having to figure out how to lock the door when we leave because the instructions are missing a step (enter code); fire places didn't work (embiance the last night); shortage of AAA batteries for remotes; no binder of directions/information; and DVR, DVD, and other equipment had no directions how to hook them up for sound. We didn't really need the tv/movie equipment but late at night. We would still rent it again.

This spacious home is much better than the pictures! The open layout is great for families with kids. We loved the floor to ceiling windows and the wrap around deck. We will definitely come back when we go to Yosemite!

This is a beautiful, well-maintained cabin located within the gated community of Pine Mountain Lake Golf Course. We felt safe from the moment we passed the security gates. As for the layout of the home itself, it was perfect for our trip; large, open floor plan kitchen facing the family/living room, with a glass door connecting the whole space to a expansive patio (the size of the entire length of the home). I LOVED the patio! We did not have to bring in any equipment, the home was really well stocked with every single kitchen utensil and accessory you can think of. Pots and pans, bottle openers, BBQ equipment, tupperware, 3 car garage. We also went for a nice walk on the property/golf course, and the freshness of the mountain air, the peace and serenity from the quietness/birds chirping in the morning, it was just an amazing weekend. The kids loved the foosball and air hockey table. And last but not least, the size of the bedrooms, was HUGE. Each bedroom was really well thought out, the size of the bedrooms was just beyond what I expected. The kids loved the privacy and quiet space they got, when the adults took over the living rooms. The bedrooms were huge. Also, I very much appreciated the service we received from both the property owner and the property manager. They were really courteous and made sure we had all our questions answered, and were really friendly any time I called them. Thank you!!!

We had a wonderful week at Fred’s cabin. Fred very kindly let us add another day on the front end of our stay at the last minute (so we could get in ahead of some snowfall), so our kids were able to enjoy the snow right outside the door, while the grownups enjoyed the views of the golf course and the mountains from the great room. The roads in Groveland itself were in good shape throughout, and once the road up to Yosemite was plowed, it was an easy hop all the way to the floor of the Yosemite Valley. The house was very clean and well stocked, and the concierge, Howard was very helpful, attentive and responsive to all of our questions. The kitchen is great for baking & socializing and there’s plenty of extra space for board games, watching a movie, or just warming up near the fireplace. The kids also loved seeing the deer, quail, and woodpeckers that would pass by over the course of the day. This was a great place for our combined families of four kids and four adults to spend the week between Christmas and New Years. I’d go again, and highly recommend it!

Fred was super communicative with us. We got a call the day before our arrival with instructions on how to enter the house and what to do when checking out. Simple instructions were five , strip the beds and being linens to laundry room and put garbage in black bags our side in trash cans. It’s a very open space kitchen and living , perfect for all the cooking we did with our friends from L.A. game tables were a hit with the kids. My daughter also forgot her computer in the house and overnighted to us . Haward was super nice when communicating with us about the computer , super kind , both Fred and Haward. My family Ans our friends has a great time and I can’t wait to be back !

This place is HUGE and pictures do not do it justice! There was plenty of room for myself and friends for our golf getaway weekend. Fred was communicative and easy to work with. My only request is that they put together a binder or something with just some simple details about the house, check in and check out process, etc. Overall our stay was fantastic! +*This also has nothing to do with Fred or his property, but the Pine Mountain Lake Gate Fee of $40 per car is a little pricey and good to know for future guests.

Our group of 9 had plenty of room to spread out and relax in comfort. The huge backyard deck was a favorite spot for morning coffee watching the wildlife on the golf course and eating big family dinners off the grill. The house was very clean. The kitchen and laundry room had everything we needed.
