Lack of rec room at the lake house

The location was fantastic and the amenities at the lake were nice

Our room had a terrible odor that no matter what we did (leave door open, not run ac, run the ac) it would not go away. We also had a smashed fly on the window we had to clean upon arrival and the room did not really live up to the pictures. The lake house was kind of a dump compared to the rest of the properties. The indoor pool and hot tub at the lake house were gross I would not even let my son in it. Oh and we decline housekeeping each day but was never fully aware that we were supposed to “sign up” for that. I was not offered the “sign up” upon arrival and the sign in the bathroom had the sign up portion hidden by the tissue box. When I asked the front desk about it on my last day she was not at all accommodating and kind of rude. Maybe it’s because we were at the lake house and since it’s a dump we were treated as such. Definitely disappointed.
