One of a kind, private tower with a view

The tower is one of a kind, nice sleeping rooms and great view from the top floor.

In wintertime it's difficult to get the tower and the water warm.

I will definitely recommend this place to others, and will stay here again. We loved it.

The location and accommodations were fantastic. We loved that it was part of the ancient city walls and thus very unique. It was quiet, clean and welcoming. The staff was kind and helpful when we needed to access the unit and request assistance. The views were amazing and the facilities were relaxing and provided easy access to the city center. Parking was nearby and free.

It would have been great if coffee, a hair dryer (we had to request this), and directions on how to operate the stove, oven and microwave had been provided.

Nice stay in good location with some challenges.

Location was great. Beautiful views from top floor.

Water pressure and hot water facility is not up to standard. Water flow on 2nd and 3th floor is really poor. Shower time seems to be set to very short timing. Fact that the kitchen is on the ground floor and sitting room on the top level is nog the best for getting a drink from the frige. A smal fridge on the top floor would solv ethis.

Living in a tower -- wow!! This was a really cool experience, and a very fun surprise to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday!!

The arrival and the lack of a host was very disappointing but once we got the keys it was excellent!

It was very nice to stay in a tower where the walls are rounded, every room is on a different floor and the living room has a 360° view. Each room has its own comfortable and clean bathroom.

We received an address to collect the keys. Via GPS the address brings you to the wrong location. No answer when we tried to call the host. It took some time to figure out that we had to collect the keys at the reception of a camping. Camping reception was closed at 17:30 already. Then we went to the tower house and luckily, accidently we could find there a hidden key!

Good value and original accommodation option for a short break.

Excellent location for walks and close to Echternach centre. Amazing top floor sitting room. Beautiful spiral staircase (not really suitable for families with very young children). Bedrooms and bathrooms tastefully decorated. Well - equipped kitchen. All very clean upon arrival.

Smell from bathroom on 1st floor. Hot plates on cooker don't work very well.

Great location and interesting building - definitely a first to sleep in an actual historic tower!

Beds were a tad too small for two persons - might be OK for couples, but not if they're restless sleepers.

Uitzonderlijke overnachting in Uitzonderlijke gebouw

De ligging en natuurlijk het unieke gebouw waarin je verblijft.

Eigenlijk niets, er was geen warm water in de keuken, maar was dezelfde dag gemaakt. Kastje van bestek in keuken zou wel upgrade kunnen gebruiken.

Belle expérience médiévale moderne.

L’atypique du logement. Tour d’enceinte médiévale très bien rénové. Belle vue à 360 degrés. Une Bonne insonorisation par rapport au trafic et travaux sur les voiries limitrophes. Confort de la litrie.

L’ensemble de la distribution d’eau dans la salle de bains et la cuisine est vétuste. Manque de pression et pas d’eau chaude dans la cuisine. Pas de mode d’emploi pour augmenter la température de l’eau sanitaire ni pour avoir une température de plus de 19 degrés centigrades dans la cuisine. Ustensiles de cuisine réduit à la plus simple expression pour six personnes absence de lave-vaisselle. Dans la chambre que nous avons occupé il n’y a pas de moyen d’occulter la meurtrière. La tenture de gauche en regardant le lit nous est tombée dessus à la première tentative de fermeture.

Geweldige en unieke locatie! Prachtig wandelgebied.

De locatie en de uitzonderlijke inrichting en indeling in een oude stadstoren is prachtig! Onvergetelijke herinneringen voor de kinderen. En heerlijk wandelen in de omgeving.

De ketel is aan vervanging toe, daardoor in de keuken geen warm water en ook bij het douchen regelmatig koud.. dat mag wel veranderen!

Uniek en fantastisch!!

Unieke locatie!

Het was een unieke locatie - uitdaging om in een oude vestigingstoren te verblijven. We hebben elke dag boven in de toren ontbeten en dat was een unieke ervaring . De trappen die namen we er met veel plezier bij ! Gewoonweg fantastisch! Een echte aanrader

De douches. In 5 dagen tijd 1 x fatsoenlijk kunnen douchen. Het ging van bloedheet naar steenkoud water of alleen maar koud.

Heerlijk verblijf op een prachtige locatie

Slapen in één van de bezienswaardigheden van het plaatsje is, zeker met kinderen, natuurlijk al fantastisch! Daarnaast is in het huisje, of huis, alles wat je nodig hebt. 's Avonds chillen in de woonkamer op de bovenste verdieping was absoluut geen straf. Gelukkig stond daar ook een koelkastje, waardoor je niet telkens naar de keuken op de begane grond hoefde. Super handig! De 3 slaapkamers waren mooi ingericht en hadden allemaal een eigen badkamer. Hoe luxe! En de keuken was simpel, maar praktisch. We hebben er zelf niet gekookt, alleen de oven gebruikt om broodjes af te bakken. Maar als je wil koken, is er voldoende kookgerei. De locatie is ook super. Op loopafstand van het centrum en een gratis parkeerplek om de hoek (Parking Bénédictins). En ook enkele mooie wandelroutes starten vanaf t centrum, geen auto nodig. Aanrader: Route E1

Op de slaapkamer 1e verdieping was helemaal geen warm water in de douche. Gelukkig waren er meer badkamers. Helaas had de douche op de 2e verdieping na 3 douchebeurt ook geen warm water. Maar gelukkig was er nóg een badkamer ;-) Wij vonden het heerlijk om boven te zitten en daar dus ook te ontbijten. Er staat inmiddels wel een koelkastje (we lazen on eerdere review dat dit er niet was), maar boven is geen koffiezetapparaat en/of waterkoker. Steeds met hete koffie/thee 4 verdiepingen omhoog via de wenteltrap is niet handig. Wij hebben de waterkoker daarom tijdelijk boven neergezet en later weer netjes naar beneden gebracht. Tip voor degenen die in Huis zonder schoenen rondlopen: neem iets van slippers of sloffen met stevigere onderkant mee voor de (overigens prachtige) wenteltrap. Die doet, zeker na een flinke wandeling, een beetje pijn aan je voeten als je alleen sokken aan hebt. En een beetje fit zijn is wel handig, zeker als je de wenteltrap een paar keer 4 verdiepingen op en neer moet. Niet geschikt voor minder valide dus!

Nie wieder!

Nach einer gewissen Zeit wieder mal in Echternach zu sein.

Großbaustelle rund um den Turm. Extremer Baustellenlärm von 8:00 Uhr - 16:00 Uhr (Bohrhammer, Bagger etc). Kein kostenloser Parkplatz, man musste alle 2 Stunden 1 Euro bezahlen. Der kostenlose Parkplatz in der Nähe war überfüllt. Überflutung der Küche bei Regen, keine Hilfe von den Verantwortlichen -einzige Aussage: Schreiben Sie mir eine E-Mail. Es waren keine Putzlappen da, um die Überflutung aufzuwischen. Duschen war fast unmöglich, kein Wasserdruck, Wechsel zwischen brühendheißem Wasser und eiskaltem Wasser. In allen Duschen bei der Ankunft fremde Haare. Das ganze Wohnzimmer voller Fliegen, da die Fenster geöffnet waren. Mangelnd Ausstattung der Küchenutensilien. Nie wieder! Wir waren das erste mal im Jahr 2003 in Echternach, danach fast jedes Jahr bis Corona kam. Seit 2003 wurde in diese Unterkunft nicht renoviert, die Bäder sind verschimmelt und "abgenudelt". Die Küche ist unschön und der Kühlschrank war innen verdreckt.

Prima locatie, gemis contact.

Mooie locatie, mooi uitzicht huiskamer. Goede bedden. Faciliteiten prima. Zitje en tuintje ook prima.

Koffiezetapparaat werkte niet naar behoren. Geen eigenaar/beheerder gezien. Geen uitleg over verblijf en/of faciliteiten, gedrag (sleutel onder de mat). Ik heb booking de eerste dag geinformeerd via contactformulier over het gemis en gevraagd hoe dit op te lossen. Ook van booking geen reply of contact.
