Everything was really great! I cannot emphasise enough how stunning the house and the plot it is on were. The interiors are extremely tasteful , with very high spec kitchen and bathrooms. You could easily think you were in an expensive B&B in Southern England. We really enjoyed the separate building where we could do our barbecue, and also the fire pit around which you could gather in the evening, strumming the guitar or chatting away. We had delicious breakfasts featuring awesome home-made relishes, buttermilk, and charcuterie, and freshly cooked eggs. Had we stayed one more night we would have had to avail ourselves of the enormous hot tub outside, too.

This wasn't really a problem for us because we sought this out on purpose, but you should be aware that the setting is remote. The road into and through Viseu is new and perfectly serviceable, but (in 2019) to get to the property you have to negotiate a single-lane potholed country road for about 20 minutes. (There are spots were cars can pass each other.) It does get bumpy, so drive in first gear. The kitchen is really well equipped, so if you come well stocked you won't have any problems.

Wow, the nicest place in Romania. Amazing people and atmosphere. Totally unexpected such a beautiful place. Should have Stayed at least 3 nights.
