Damma Beachfront Luxury Villa

Location was superb with beautiful sunrises in the morning. Beach was opposite of the house. Good sunbeds, towels, free drinks and things in the fridge, thank you! House had full accomodation. Safe, closing gate. Lovely terrasses. Host arranged carhire + pick up and drop off at airport. On the quiet side of Santorini.

2 bedrooms on -1 floor. Did not expect this, but yet fully equiped.

When we arrived the fridge was full of cheese, meats, milk, jams for us to eat. There was also bread and drink options. It was really nice because we were hungry on arrival. Alex our host was easy to contact via WhatsApp, prior to our stay for advice and info and throughout. We have never felt more at home on a holiday and would defo book again. If you book I advise hiring a car as you are not in walking distance to anywhere. The supermarkets are 5/10 minute drive and stock lots of great foods and amazing meat counters.

More towels for the bathroom. There was no hot water on the last day.

absolutely stunning property. unsurpassed views, privacy. at the end of a road with no other homes, vehicle or pedestrian traffic. feels like you're at your own private beach getaway. was treated to a splendid sunrise every morning with breakfast. the ocean is literally a step outside your gate. you can stay 2 people, 4, 6, 8, more! the downstairs bedrooms and bathroom are exquisitely renovated. we were just two and had an awesome time. property was immaculately clean. I was extremely impressed by the cups and kitchen glasses in the cabinets. It is a little thing, but usually when these are not used by the guests they collect dust and need a wash. this absolutely wasn't the case here, showing that the cleaning staff perform excellent work. the villa has every item you could possibly need and would find in your own home. having unobstructed views of the ocean from anywhere in the house (INCLUDING BATHROOM) was amazing! our arrival was delayed two entire days by the airline. our hosts were extremely reasonable and accommodating with adjusting the dates of our stay. we were met for key handoff at midnight. our host made it known he could be as available to us as needed, and was welcoming and politely checked in during our stay. the most substantially appreciated benefit of the villa was being provided an entire cabinet of water bottles and a complimentary fridge full of food (meats, cheeses, wine, fruit, eggs, bread, butters/jams, etc.) upon our arrival by the hosts. we were extremely grateful for this, as it allowed us to jump full-swing into our vacation without worrying about figuring out groceries or breakfast the next day immediately after such a long journey. this is something that costs them nothing but makes a world of difference for a guest, and should be a model for hosts everywhere. Thank you! AND when i left my airpods behind, the hosts contacted me to get them returned. talk about 5 star service.

yes, the villa is located about 20 minutes from anywhere on the island you'd like to be. however, this was a HUGE plus to us. we were able to enjoy all Santorini had to offer while being able to entirely escape the crowds and tourist nightmare when we were done for the day. retreating to the villa truly offered the best of both worlds. but, a rental car is absolutely mandatory, though this would be true of staying anywhere on the island, unless you are resigned to spend the entire time in only one area. yes, the airport is directly behind the villa. however, despite an extremely busy airport, we never once noticed the noise. any sounds of planes landing or taking off were entirely drowned out by the wonderful music of waves crashing upon the shore at all hours of the day. the pool is not heated, but this is true of 99% of the pools in Greece, including ALL of the hotels offering rooms with private pools. you will be hard-pressed to find a single heated pool, and even the jacuzzis are temp-limited to a lukewarm 32C for safety. there are cameras around the exterior of the villa. these are there to watch over the property when it is not occupied and did not bother us. however, their presence did put the kibosh on any skinny-dipping adventures that may or may not have been planned. THE NUMBER ONE NEGATIVE--and this probably should have been first--the beach is not accessible. While it is beautiful, entirely private, and in your literal front yard, it is a rocky beach without sand. You can go into the water, but you will need shoes. i do not recommend going barefoot or with open toed sandals. you should wear water shoes. overall, i wouldn't consider any of these negatives to affect the villa as they are all factored in to the price, providing you with excellent value for your dollar spent.
