A magical stay in magical Lofoten islands.

What a dream this was! The location is so picturesque and the home so comfortably appointed. We loved Lofoten Islands and part of it was this lovely accommodation. Perfectly positioned equidistant to two grocery stores, half way between the ferry and Svolvaer, tucked away, near a spectacular mountain hike, walking distance to a restaurant, a sauna, and a bunch of art galleries - it was a joy!

There was road construction near by, so on approach it seemed a bit hectic, but once you got to the accommodation, it was quiet, peaceful and lovely.

It was rather basic and some rooms like the bathroom were ready for a refresh. But that did not change the fact that it was a very good stay!!

Highly recommend this gem of a house. We had a wonderful week at Runes Cottage. The house is neat and clean and well equipped. The town itself is nice but the highlights are the trails around town and the beautiful shoreline. On our first night we saw Orcas passing by. The surroundings are stunning, it was magical. Thanks for everything.

Pleasant stay in a calm and comfortable place.

We stayed for 4 nights. The host was friendly and extremely helpful. Place was in perfect condition and had calm/relaxing feeling to it. There was a swimming possibility in a nearby Lake and a hike to a nearby Mountain was a nice activity for beginners. 5/5 experience.

Excellent cabin. Nice, clean, lots of space in the bathroom and with washing machine. Owner was very friendly. Only the reception was not that easy to find. Called the owner and he waitet then for us.

The cabin is located nicely in the Harbour. it is quiet there and one has wonderful views on the mountains and the sea! the cabin is very cosy! the kitchen is well equipped. the bathroom is spacious and nice. parking is possible directly in front of the car. a supermarket, a restaurant and the Harbour are within walking distance!

It was a very pleasant stay at the cottage. We will recommend this. WiFi needs improvement.

Cottage was clean and had enough space. We were only two. Two more did not manage to come due to sickness. We fully enjoyed our stay. The verten was very nice and easily available.

-WiFi connection was not at all good. We were almost dependent on our 4G connection. Improvement needed. -In kitchen water cooker and utensil cleaning sponge is required (This is what I think). As dishwasher is not there.

Exceptional

Clean and new with a very spacious bathroom with heated flooring. The washing machine is a nice to have for us as we were on a long trip. Stamsund is a perfect location to be based from which we can drive to Svolvaar via an extremely scenic drive or to Reine/A as it is midway between. Do take a walk outside the cabins which provide lovely views!

There was no bin in the bathroom. Limited dining options - would recommend going to nearby Leknes or Ballstad for dinner if not self catering.

We really loved our stay in Stamsund!

The apartment was charming and had a lovely view. The kitchen was very well equipped. WiFi was good. Beds were very comfortable. Stamsund is a really pretty spot from which to explore the Lofotens, and this location was just a one minute drive from the Hurtigruten ferry dock, where Avis met us with our rental car. There were two grocery stores in town, only one restaurant, but it was an easy drive to Leknes and hikes nearby. The midnight sun was very cool to see - we were grateful that the bedrooms has curtains and blinds.

Tolle Rorbu auf bezauberndem Lofoten

Ein schönes, sehr gemütliches Rorbu mit sehr guter Ausstattung - uns hat an nichts gefehlt. Ein sehr guter Ort, um Lofoten in allen Richtungen zu erkunden. Wir haben 10 wundervolle Tage dort verbracht. Der Gastgeber Rune, mit dem wir per Nachrichten kommuniziert haben, war super freundlich, immer erreichbar, hilfsbereit und hat sehr schnell reagiert, als die Kaffeemaschine nicht funktionierte - innerhalb von 2 Stunden war eine neue da.

Alles war stimmig und hat super gepasst

Ce Rorbuer a été une belle surprise lors de notre parcours en Norvège. Il vaut le détour !

Le logement était très propre, très agréable la vue est superbe ! Des travaux sur la route à proximité ne gênent absolument pas la visibilité de cet endroit très calme. Nous avons pu y voir des aurores boréales, cerise sur le gâteau ;). Le jour de notre départ, les propriétaires nous ont offert un cadeau en souvenir de la Norvège. Incroyable !

Die beste Ausstattung einer Rorbuhütte, die man sich vorstellen kann. Großzügig und es war alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Auch die Lage am Wasser war wunderschön. Es war ruhig und man hatte den Parkplatz vor der Hütte.

La situación es muy buena, es cómodo, espacioso, luminoso y limpio.

No es culpa del alojamiento pero están de obras en la carretera de acceso y es algo difícil acceder. Eche de menos una cafetera que no fuera de filtro y que tuviera microondas.

Ein gemütliches Zuhause auf den Lofoten, das insbesondere bei Regen und Sturm einfach gemütlich ist!

Sehr schönes Apartment, sehr geräumig und schön eingerichtet. Es ist alles da was man braucht und hat einen super schönen Ausblick auf den Fjord. Die Lage ist ruhig und lädt zum entspannen ein. Trotzdem kann man von hier aus die Lofoten super bereisen. In der Nähe gibt es auch einen kleinen Supermarkt. Rune ist ein unglaublich aufmerksamer Gastgeber und immer darum bemüht uns den Aufenthalt so komfortabel wie möglich zu gestalten. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
